Wild Planet Wild Albacore Tuna No Salt Added - 5oz

When I opened the can the entire amount was hard chucks of tuna, with pieces stuck to the bottom of the can. Looks like it was cooked or fried in the can. Sent back for a refund!!

I have purchased wild planet tuna products for years, there is no comparison for quality and price. My favorite go to product is the albacore and skip jack (no salt added). However, every product I have purchased has exceeded expectations, including the canned salads with beans and the pasta. I also love the tuna packaged in glass with the olive oil. The absolute best part is that there is NO added water, as in every other brand of tuna.

Despite the miserably high cost, this is my tuna, it's caught without raising the death toll of every other ocean species on the planet, not to be confused with tuna companies who produly claim their tuna is "wild caught," so you wouldn't confuse it with all of that FARMED tuna available, sheesh. But on the online Chew 2.0, they recently did blind taste tests, and included this, and they said it was horrible. They compaed it to salted tunas packed in olive oil, what do you exect when you eat a protein that hasn't been seasoned or pepared? I have to watch sodium I don't want to blow calories on tuna that's packed in olive oil, and i'll make my own choices about how it's prepared, thank you. This didn't deserve their low rating.

Very very dry

Best tuna flavor and texture.I confess, I often eat it straight from the can with an accompanying green onion. Sweet clean flavor, firm texture.

Expensive but a great tuna

I will never by this brand of tuna again. I paid $5.00 for a can that was bad. I noticed right away once I opened the can it didn’t look right. It was light gray in color. Threw it out.

I love these but am a small eater and can only eat half a can. I would love a lid that fits these cans. (See a photo suggestion of bamboo with silicone as an idea. )Thanks for making such delicious and safe tuna salads. We love them!

I had no idea! Wild Planet albacore tuna tastes much better than any of the other brand names I’ve been eating over the past 60+ years! Wow! And I used to think those others tasted good. Ugh! Wild Planet tastes, looks and smells so different it’s truly amazing. And it’s the only tuna I eat these days, and I mention it whenever an opportunity arises: at the doggie park in my large active adult community (in north central Florida), every time discussions about choosing healthier foods come up, sharing recipes, etc. I can’t recall where I read about Wild Planet, but I sure am glad I decided to give it a try and utilize subscription ordering. I even add it to Wendy’s Cobb and apple pecan salads that I buy. Thanks for being conscientious, convenient, and wonderfully delicious! I add it to (Gooder) macaroni and cheese, too. Spread the word, folks!
