Grading Options Artist Grade: One or both sides mostly clear, bark intact and sanded smooth, with very small blemishes or knots. Consistent oval shape, ideal for professional engraving, wood burning, or pyrography. Standard Grade: Smooth surface with small blemishes, knots, or imperfections. Bark intact and sanded smooth; irregular shapes possible and may include hairline cracks. Great for painting, carving, staining, and wood burning. Value Grade: Rougher appearance with unsanded patches, cloudy surfaces, larger knots or holes, broken bark, and larger cracks.
