Wind & Weather Large Bronze Leaf Fountain

This is a beautiful fountain. Plus all the wildlife (birdies, squirrels & chipmunks) enjoy a drink every day!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had to return it because although the picture shows the fountain in the middle of a yard, it's electric so therefore needs an outlet! Not found in the middle of a yard. I assumed that it was battery operated. My mistake.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I ordered this fountain as part of a long overdue backyard makeover. I love it! It is much lighter in weight than ceramic type fountains, which is what I usually see at the nurseries. It was a snap to set up and move around until I found the perfect spot. Once I found the perfect spot, I would have appreciated a longer cord to reach my electric outlet. A friend has suggested getting an extension cord with a foot pedal so I can turn it on and off via the pedal rather than struggle to plug and unplug it from the outlet. Sounds good; can't wait.

For the price I had hoped this would last for several years. During the second year it began to rust so I painted it. The next summer a stem developed a leak, midway thru that third summer a leaf rusted thru and feel off. It was drained every fall, kept in attached garage, put outside in May after frost.

I love this fountain. I originally bought it and tried to use it in its present state. However, it constantly ran out of water due to wind blowing the water out of it. The dish it sits in is very small and has little room for water. It can be vastly improved by placing it in a larger water-filled tub, hooked up to a float valve which constantly replenishes the water, making sure that the base sits below the water level. I improved it more by placing it in a combination of a tub, with two sections of 8 inch and 6 inch pvc pipe stacked in it, interspersed with two dishes meant to be placed under planters, and running a pipe and tubing up through the middle to the base of the fountain. I added a slightly stronger 80 gph pump. This runs the fountain perfectly, with the top bubbling up to the top level like an artesian well, providing filtered drinking water to the birds, then spilling to the next levels and finally into the dishes below, providing multiple levels for the birds to drink, shower and bathe in the dishes below. The birds perch on my garden arch and wait their turns to use this fountain, sometimes with 3 or 4 birds using it at the same time. Hummingbirds can actually bathe in each of the lower levels at the same time.

We just got this installed today. This consists of the bronze leaf fountain which is attached to a resin base. This base fits into another base which is attached to the tiny pump. They ran the cord of the tiny pump through the bottom of the second part of the base, so the pump is attached to this base but not permanently attached to the sculpture. The base of the sculpture comes with a rubber, not vinyl, tube about 6 inches long which is meant to be attached to the pump.. I planned to put this lovely metal sculpture into a bird bath which has a float valve auto filler so knew I would have to work with it to accommodate my plan. I purchased an 80 gph fountain pump, and easily attached it to a 1/2 inch ID vinyl tube which also attached to the base of the sculpture. I connected the vinyl tube to the base of the sculpture, and to the tiny pump I had purchased, and dropped the pump into a hole in the center of the birdbath, ran the cord under the edge of the birdbath pan, plugged it in and voila! I have a lovely metal sculpture, gently trickling water down its cascade of leaves, while my autofiller keeps it from running out of water. This sculpture sits outside of my greenhouse in my garden an my garden is now a soothing oasis!

The leaf top of the fountain is onlly attached to the base by the pump tubing. The leaf top, while nice looking, is designed such that the leaves can catch a wind. This will knock the leaf portion right off the base.

The fountain was in an enclosed porch out of the elements but rusted through and fell apart in less than a year and a half. I am extremely disappointed that Plow and Hearth did not stand behind the product. I will be shopping elsewhere in the future.

This was in an enclosed area, protected from the elements. P & H refused to replace it since the warranty is for one year only.

We love the fountain, don't get me wrong. It sounds like there are voices in the house. We moved fountain to another home. Those people began thinking they were hearing voices. It's very odd. Anybody else?

The fountain arrived with one leaf broken off. The leaves appear to be attached by very weak spot welds. A screw at the base was missing and caused the fountain to sway. A disappointment and definitely a return. Too bad, it looked nice.

This is lovely, however not suitable for outdoors. The water receptacle is small and it would need lots of refilling and attention. It would be perfect for a sunroom or protected porch.

We love the leaf fountain which is on our back porch among our flower pots. The birds enjoy drinking and bathing on the leaves. Some even take showers under the water that drips down from the leaf above. There is nothing cuter than watching a hummingbird take a bath. The base where the pump is located needs to be cleaned often.

Excellent product! Lovely tinkling sounds.

Piece of garbage..leaked everywhere

Welding job = poor & item leaked at several "petal" bases...splashes water everywhere; leafs not propelry aligned to pour properly & water goes everywhere.

Bought it last summer. It only worked for 3 days. Waste of money.

It took a little effort to get the flow correct, but the fountain is just lovely. This is not much of s splash or noise maker, so perfect for when you don't want an overwhelming water feature.

There was a piece missing that would connect the flowers to the pump. so it would not connect. Also there was a hole in the bowl that had to be patched. Poor work man ship and shipping.

Very cool, fits together and sets up fast, but even on sale is a little over priced for the size, but it is a cool water feature and sounds Great !!
