Women's High-Rise Drawstring Denim Beach Shorts - Universal Thread™

I really really wanted to like these and may end up trying to size down. I have a hard time finding denim shorts as I am a pear shape with a booty and thicker thighs and I hate shorts that cling to my legs. These are looser in the legs, elastic waist makes them comfortable and prevents gapping, and the length is nice for a mid 30s mom. However, there is so much extra fabric in the hip area they make me look bigger than I am. I am 5'4" about 137lbs and typically wear a 6 or small. I got the small and the hips are too bulky. Might try XS because I like the roominess of the legs but I am afraid the waist will be too small in the XS.

I can't take pictures of my shorts because they're in the wash after wearing them nearly every day this week. I hate constricting waist bands and have the hardest time finding shorts I don't spill out of or get swallowed in. These are IT! SO comfortable, the material is flexible, and your thighs don't chafe after walking for long periods of time. At $20 per short, you might as well do yourself a favor and buy all the colors.

Great color, but the legs are extra large. They don’t appear true to size, they are larger.

Super comfy, great length. It does tend to stretch and crease in the legs throughout the day. Still my favorite pair of shorts!

Oversized, baggy fit in the hips and leg. If I go down a size they might not fit in the waist.

I think these shorts are great! It took me ordering three different sizes to figure out what would work. (I guess I am in between two sizes.) Because there is no stretch (100% cotton) I kept my regular size, because I wanted a looser fit. The white cotton and dark blue denim will be great transition shorts for hot, fall weather. Love the drawstring and pockets, front and back. Great design. Just try different sizes until you get the look you want.

Great pull on jeans! I always struggle with jean shorts that are baggy fit because of my wide thighs but these are baggy enough that they don’t ride up. They also help my big thighs and booty look normal size. I’m 5’6” 170lbs and the Large fits well.

Purchased white XS & felt a little tight & short for my 5’5” 120# long torso (short leg) frame, but still able to wear. Purchased blue denim & rust S & feel length more comfortable. Love the style with drawstring, front & back pockets! Back pockets especially nice for keeping my phone.

Such quality durable denim! At such a great price. Fits very loose and comfortably.

I really wanted to like these shorts, but I should have read more reviews before purchasing. First, I’m usually a shoe in for an M. If anything, I’d lean towards L for bottoms. I like looser fitting, and am a shapely pear figure. 5’7” 140lbs, if that helps. Just pulling them out of the package I thought they looked unusually large. And they are. They run at least a half size, if not full size too big. Size down if in doubt! Second: They’re boxy and unflattering. Heavy material, elastic waist. Especially for my shape, I don’t need my bottom half to look any bigger. The material is thick enough that with my thighs that rub/touch, the material would just get caught or awkwardly ride up towards the crotch area. You know the look, right, and it’s not cute. These were not for me, but I liked the idea of them.

Love the elastic waistband and length.

these shorts didn't work out for me. the denim is too heavy to be a summer short, and it's a rather boxy fit and makes your bottom half appear bigger than you'd want. Returning

IDK what's happening to the sizing of this brand. 5' 5", 135... I'm alwasy a medium in bottoms. The medium was so big it was laughable on me. I'm usually a womens size 6, the medium looks closer to a women's size 12.

got a smallmy typical size, but was way too big. didnt bother getting an xs becuase it would definetly still be too large

Love these shorts! Very comfortable, the length is perfect, not too short and not too long. I don’t find the material thick like other reviews stated. It’s denim so expect denim material. I normally wear I size 2, sometimes a 4 i ordered the xs and they fit perfect. I am very happy with my purchase.

I have the white & light denim shorts & love them, but I recently bought the dark wash denim & it’s wayyy different sizing than the other two pairs I have (all 2X). Might need to try a few different sizes.

I love these shorts. They fit well, they are thicker than some flimsy shorts, the color is so nice. Plus they are a little longer than some of my shorts and they look almost dressy with the design on the front.

These shorts are fantastic. Great quality, comfortable and the price is right. I’m 5’5”- 180lbs and I wear a Medium. I would say they run alittle big. I have all 3 colors and I’m not even one to wear shorts. Loved the design so much I bought the wide leg pant version as well and get many compliments.

I loved the shorts. Great material. Light weight with drawstrings. Personally for me I had to sadly return it because it was too short. As a mama I thought it was not comfortable to bend and twist in. But overall very lovely.
