Women's Maxi A-Line Dress - Wild Fable™ Yellow

First of all, sizing is way off especially on the top of the dress. The top has two buttons on the back of the neck, so it’s not adjustable. I ended up tying it in a knot and it fits that way. The dress is thin, wrinkly material. I’m sad to have to return it. If you were able to shorten the straps yourself or maybe size down a couple of sizes, this dress could work but just not for me.

I'm a 6/8, Medium (in this brand), Athletic 36C, and I purchased a medium. There is no way this dress can be worn styled as the thinner model, and for me, not as the plus-sized model either because the neck straps (which fasten with two buttons) and are extremely long. When worn as a halter it doesn't 'gather' under the bust like the model, but rather has gaping above the bust all the way to the armpits. When worn with the crossed-over straps, the entire bust droops and there is no support. So...I tried a square-knot (which shortened the straps, but the knot is uneven when pulled taut to fasten the straps behind the neck. My last attempt to remedy this dress (the dress is lined and from the waist down fits immaculately) I made a single tie (not a knot), which lifted the bust creating a bandeau-type top with a suspended halter and fastened it. Beautiful! I haven't tried it with boob-tape yet (can't go braless at my size), but I can make it work with this hack. I recommend this dress only if you're willing to make it work.
