    Don’t last as long

    After 9 months these are cracked at the heels and no longer waterproof. I loved them while they lasted for wet weather in the cold winter but these didn’t last for even a year which is disappointing for how much they cost.

    Boots leaked. Was very disappointed. Especially since these boots are so expensive and a well named brand.

    Seams required sealing

    I use these boots for wading into streams to perform water quality analysis. They leaked when new, so I had to seal the seams with black gunk. After two treatments, the boots were waterproof and I appreciate the stable footing and warmth. But I felt that they should have been leakproof out of the box.

    Pleased!

    I used these boots for the first time a few days ago for a Fish & Game planting project that required hiking up a steep hill. The boots were remarkably comfortable (way more so than any of my hiking boots have been in similar situations). The ground was sloped and uneven but the Muck Boot grip was great. They were light weight and not anywhere near as hot as I expected. I didn't have to test them in the stream, so I can't verify that aspect, but I fully expect them to perform very well in boggy terrain.

    Short term solution

    When I first bought these boots, I would have immediately given them 5 stars. But, I have had them for a little over a year and they are DESTROYED. I understand wearing down, ,but these have holes on the heels, to the point I can see my socks and stick my fingers through them, the seams are all open on the sides and my feet fill with water the minute they touch a puddle. I can't work in them anymore and they weren't the cheapest option on the market. So, they are good quality for a limited time but it goes downhill quickly.

    Leaked on the very first wear

    Very disappointed. I bought these boots recently for work where I often wade in water and the right boot immediately leaked. I would like a refund as the boots are marketed as 100% waterproof. Do not order these boots.

    Disappointed

    I've purchased this boot as I'm working hydro blasting in nuclear power plants. I've worn my boots twice and the right one is leaking so much that I had to pour the water out of it repeatedly. The seams are not holding up and I regret spending the money.

    Disappointing

    After 15 months of normal wear (and little to none during the summer), cracks have developed in the upper at the ball of the foot. I previously purchased the same size of the men's boot and wore them for 8 years with no cracking. Maybe things produced for men are of higher quality, or maybe things produced in 2014 were of higher quality.

    Poor quality

    I have gotten a pair for Christmas last year not even a month after owning them they leak have holes in them at the seams I’ve glued them rubber cement and they just won’t hold heat and won’t keep water out

    Quality is lacking

    I really want to love these boots but the seams are coming apart after less then one year and gentle use as I rotate different boots per season/chore So disappointed in the quality At this price point, there are better options of good quality boots I won't be purchasing Muck footwear again

    Didn’t last

    I bought these and they didn’t even last a year. I don’t wear them everyday and I don’t do anything extreme in them. I mainly clean stalls and occasionally walk in mud. If I spend this much money on boots I expect them to last longer than this. They already have huge cracks and are no longer water proof

    Fell apart

    I bought a pair of theses several years ago and have worn them occasionally so they still look new. Recently I wore them in tall wet grass and the soles fell off as if the glue holding them on dissolved. I called customer service and they told me to use aqua seal to glue them back on. For boots that are suppose to last for “years” according to their site and are meant to be worn in wet conditions, they didn’t meet my expectations. They need to use a better glue that is actually waterproof and longer lasting. Also, customer service was not very helpful and difficult to understand.

    Used to love, now they leak

    I bought a pair of these a year ago and they started leaking a little before I hit a year using them. Muck sent me a new pair that I’ve only worn for a few weeks. I noticed this morning they were leaking just from walking through dewy grass. You can see half my sock was wet just from walking around for about 20 min in the dew… not even mud or rain. Pretty disappointed after spending so much on these and really liking them for the first year, but something must be structurally wrong if these boots keep leaking. I need boots that keep my feet dry as I’m out on a farm doing chores everyday.

    Poor Fit

    I used to own a pair of these boots. I loved them. Used them every day for cleaning stalls and working on the farm. Then one day my horse stepped on my foot (thankfully these boots protected my toes from being crushed) however the boot was ripped so I had to throw them away. Fast forward to a few years later. I went to my local store to get a new pair but I wear a bigger size now (8.5) and to my disappointment I learned that Muck Boots don't come in half sizes... WHY? The 8 is too small and the 9's are too big. I can't wear this brand anymore and it's very disappointing..

    Hello Madeline, thank you for leaving us a review. Unfortunately we do not normally carry half sizes. Half sizes can sometimes be found for some boots but it is not normally a size we carry. For half sizes, such as 8.5, we recommend going down a half size to an 8. If the 8 feels to small a suggestion would be to removed the insole of the shoe as it will give your foot more room and will still provide good comfort as our boots come with an extra built in insole. We apologize that we can't offer 1/2 sizes in the style that you need. We'll be sure to share that feedback with our product team. Thank you!

    I loved these! Then my feet started to feel wet...

    I bought these boots with the expectation to have them for years. I work with horses in Washington state and I'm frequently up to my knees in mud and I walk through shallow creeks. These boots were dry and cozy for a year. 13 months after purchasing them my feet started feeling wet and I found cracks in the rubber. Ironically, the warranty is good for 12 months. I can't say I'm not disappointed. These were awesome boots for a while. They're warm and comfy. Unfortunately, they don't stay waterproof for long. If you aren't working in the mud than these are great boots. If you're looking for a boot that will last for years and keep your feet dry, these aren't the boots for you.

    ALL DAY! EVERYDAY!

    Bought these as I was in dire need for work boots and was the only option at our local shop. Had zero expectation but now they are my favorite! I wear them everyday. They get a little "humid" in warm weather but they hold up no matter how wet or muddy it gets out there. Even in snow and cold days, my feet stay warm. Just be careful on ice as the rubber is quite hard and doesn't have much grip.
