This fabric is almost a waffle weave that doesn't appear in the photo.

Fabric felt cheap so I returned the top.

Very cropped but that was my fault for not trying on. Good quality and if it was longer I would have kept. I would recommend if you like your stomach to show.

Everything is good, then there’s the twist— a literal twist. Bummer this isn’t just a normal button down, the twist really limits what you can do with it. It’s like a strange thing where the fabric is literally turned and sewn closed. FWIW also tanks its adaptability, by requiring it to go over your head.

I’m 5’ 115lbs. Bought the pink top and shorts in Small. Shorts are true to size, top fits oversized like in the picture. Note that the top is cropped, so may be too short for taller people. It will rise up if I raise my arms, but the shorts are high waisted, so my belly button is covered. I don’t typically wear shorts, but I bought these for a late summer vacation and the set is very cute.

I love ‘Universal Thread’, they always make really cute and affordable summer pieces! This short set is perfect gauze material for the hot DC summer! The colors are vibrant and the sizing is true. For reference I am 5’6, 135-140lbs, 32DD, and the size small fits great! The top and shorts can be purchased separately or together, I purchased them as a set and have worn as a set or mixed with other tops or bottoms. I love that the top has a cute detail in front and is cut higher in the front allowing for just a bit of stomach to show, but not full on midriff.

So short in front! Didn't realize how short this shirt would be and that our couldn't be adjusted.

4 stars because it can be difficult to put on and take off. I love the color and fit. The material is soft. I just wish I could completely unbutton it to put on. I'm 5'11, curvy, busty and it worked well for me with high-waisted bottoms.

So nice I bought it twice, first in the pink and then again in the cobalt blue. Just beware it does shrink a little in the dryer. The material is soft, and comfortable. I usually wear this as a set, but I think it would look good with separate pieces as well.

I love the color, fabric and that it was short sleeved. I thought all the pictures had the shirt tied as it is a common trend or technique for button downs; however, it is made that way. There is no way to untie it. It also created this unnatural hi-low effect where the front was really short (and cropped) and the back was really long. And the front was too short. It exposed my stomach every time I lifted my arms slightly. I hated it. I really wish they just had a traditional button down and then we could tie it if wanted. I wanted to wear this unbottoned as a top layer for work.

Gorgeous color and loved the fabric. I really wanted to love it. However, every time I moved or lifted my arms, my belly showed, which I’m not comfortable with. A little surprising since I’m not tall (5’4”) and short waisted. Sadly returned it.

I purchased this in the green. I normally take a small but they only had a medium so I gave it a try. It is a little big but I love it. I'm 5'3 and 128lbs. It's not cropped on me but I'm not sure if that's because of my height or because I got a larger size. I also got the matching shorts in a XS and I love them too. Planning on purchasing in the blue as well.

I love this! Got it in black in my TTS XS. Being 45, I was worried it would be too cropped like another review said since I don’t normally wear crop tops or anything that exposes my stomach even though I’m thin and petite. With high rise shorts, it actually doesn’t show my stomach at all. Perhaps, if you had a longer torso or are taller, it would be more cropped. But with the top buttons unbuttoned a few, I really like that if I pull it up/back a little, I can make it show just the smallest amount of skin like the model pic. For reference, I’m about 5’2” tall, 32D chest, 105-108 lbs. I’m typically an XS in most things and size 0-00P/25 jeans. At the time when I purchased this, the matching black shorts were out of stock so I ended up ordering a pair of black crinkle gauze shorts at Gap online that matches this top perfectly in size XSpetite. If anyone else is having a hard time finding the black shorts in stock, check Gap. The matching shorts did come back in stock later, and I was able to order it in XS. Hasn’t come in the mail yet though so I’ll review once they come in. The Gap ones look great with it, but was more expensive than the Target shorts so I’ll have to decide which is better. Universal Thread makes a dress made out of this material which is oversized so I was expecting this to also be oversized. It was not. I would say it fits true to size, however, if your [bra] cup runneth over like mine does this shirt is going to fit more like a crop top. It stopped below my bust, but definitely above my natural waistline which is not what I was looking for.

This shirt is cropped just enough but provides coverage in the back area.
