Women's Short Sleeve Midi Dress - A New Day™

I love the fabric, color, and draping under bust, however the bust itself is ridiculously tight. If you’re over a size D I wouldn’t bother. Really disappointed, target needs to start making dresses for women who are bigger-chested. It’s very depressing when you rely on target for their lower prices, but can’t wear anything because they don’t make clothing for all women.

I absolutely hated this dress. I am 5’7” and it was long enough to be a maxi dress, definitely not a midi dress. The fabric was stiff and heavy, not at all like the traditional light, breezy seersucker. Even with the heaviness of the fabric, it was a little sheer and you could see my underwear through. The pleats are very oddly placed and unflattering. The skirt makes a bell shape, making my midsection look larger than it is. The chest was very tight, even with an elasticized back panel, yet the shoulders were falling off. Just a weird fit overall and not cute in the slightest! I am 5’7”, 200 lbs, and usually wear an L in target dresses for reference.

The material is lightweight and breathable. It’s neutral so it pairs with anything. The square cut neck and back is cute. The sleeves are a little bit too much. Therefor, overall, I don’t really find the total look of it very flattering. The length on it is great, but it’s just not for me. I received an incentive to write this review.

Gorgeous but a foot too long for 5’4” even with heels - it’s giving renaissance fair. Also it’s not coral - more of a bubblegum pink w a splash of coral. Thought it would be a midi but was def a weird highwater maxi on me. Pockets and crinkle fabric make it look expensive. If you have wide hips or broad shoulders beware there’s no side zipper. The box pleats in front are not super flattering.

I appreciate being able to find a dress that is 100% cotton (or any natural fiber), and I'm sure there's some people that this dress fits absolutely perfectly! It wasn't me though. I'm 5'6" and 38DD and tried the medium. This dress fit great around the waist part (directly under the bust, seriously-the perfect fit). Unfortunately, even with the stretch in the back of the dress, the bust was wayyy too tight for me. Also, the sleeves are extremely loose. It may be intentional so you can wear it off shoulder, but it looks funny when you wear it up. Because of the great fit around the waist of the medium and the already loose arms, sizing up to a large wouldn't have worked. The pink color was really pretty in person (richer than I expected, if that makes sense), but the fit was not going to work for me.

Got so many compliments on this dress! It’s comfy and love the way it looked on me.

The color is pretty and I love the balloon sleeves, but on a petite person like myself, it just looks frumpy. Definitely way too long for the intended styling, but I figured I'd give it a try. If you're more petite, it just doesn't look great on. Would probably be super cute on the right person

Cute dress tho not for me, unfortunately. Tried to make it work but bust area a bit low for the girls especially when I sit. Sleeves adorable but too long. Had to return.

Unicorn of a dress! The fabric is almost a seersucker, there is no annoying lining, it’s not too low cut, you can wear it without a bra, it’s almost to the ground making it look more high end (I’m 5’3 for reference), the sleeves come down to your elbows, and the pleating on the front is so flattering! Runs slightly big…..maybe size down one size. I hope this gets made in more colors…..red would be amazing!

I’m pictured her wearing a size extra small and I felt like this ran a little big. I would definitely need the size down in this as it was long as well as big throughout the shoulders overall, this is a really classic piece that you’ll be able to wear from the season and the puppy leaves were absolutely perfect and in style for the season . It’s lined and feels so elegant. I’m 5’5 and weigh 170 and I’m wearing a size large. The overall fit is comfortable and true to size. The neckline and puff sleeve make this such a flattering dress. The fit on this is off. The bodice is very tight, but the sleeves are very loose and falling off the shoulders (but I don't think that's intentional). The fabric is textured/puckered, making the dress look wrinkly.

Mostly cotton (99%), super flattering fit, pull-on stretchy, great quality, beyond comfortable.....YES!!!! I'm going to be wearing this every day. I wish it came in more colors.

Perfect dress for my baby's first birthday. Flattering front, especially for a bigger chest, and nice long sleeves to the elbow. The dress is long and close to floor length on 5'8 frame. The material is crepe like and a bit bumpy, but it's fine and steamed out okay.

I like the squared neckline a lot and the scrunchy back. Every angle is just a little different which is fun. I am five foot three inches and 120 pounds wearing the size small. I would say. Omg... this dress is amazing... if you're thinking about it— don't, just go get it! I'm 5'2 and curvy (34DD) and the M fits like a glove. It's to my ankles which I actually find more flattering to my body type. The pink is a gorgeous warm pink, perfect for (color analysis) spring seasons! Texture is substantial cotton with slight stretch. I feel like an absolute cottage princess in this. Target always delivers the best fashion for spring!!
