Women's Tie-Waist Midi Shirtdress - A New Day™

I love this dress! Unfortunately, some of the seams were not sewn correctly and I have to return it because there are holes in it.

Medium runs small on the bust abs waist. So I ordered the Large. Bust runs loose. Items arrived all wrinkled like it was just tossed inside. For this price not worth buying.

Beautiful dress, doesn’t feel cheapy. Sadly had to return bust area too small and I really tried to make it work. Not for me but lovely!

This dress in grey looked sophisticated and classic online, but in person it looks like a vintage uniform for "the war effort". I tried to talk myself into keeping it and could only hear the Commisar yelling at me every time I looked in the mirror. So it was returned. Additionally, it's tight in the bust. I'm a 36D and the buttons were pulling in my normal Target size M. No stretch.

This is the most poorly constructed garment I have ever received. Frays everywhere. I had to cut off tons of threads and one seam down the back was not sewn correctly. It also appears that they messed up on the button placement on the top of the dress because there's knotted thread right under the top button. I wish I would have inspected the dress with a magnifying glass before removing the tags. This dress is awful and I can't even return it now because I noticed everything while ironing it. And of course, I cant upload all the pictures because the app keeps saying there's an error.

Love the style. I did size up, And I loved it. But this is ITCHY. The entire thing made me feel like I was wearing fiberglass. I bought a diff one, thinking it was just that one and now I have 2 dresses to return. The first one had lots of strings hanging out of the seams, so I thought maybe the itchiness was due to a defect. But the second one had the same issue. My skin around my neck and shoulders was all red and blotchy after wearing a couple hours. Something is wrong with this material!

I really, really wanted to like this item. The grey color was so nice and you could tell the pattern used for the dress was made to flatter women, so why did it fall short? The fabric was horrible, pilling before it had even left the store and with a lot of uneven stitching. And on top of that this thing runs big. I'm a true XS and I could fit my arm next to my torso. Plus the photo shows it stops right at the shins. In real life, the dress went all the way down to my ankles. I'm trying to look chic, not like a nun.... Please do better target.

The dress is so cute on!! However like the others reviewed the seam on the shoulders are incredibly irritating.

I loved the look and fit of this dress in gray. It has a very sophisticated vibe. I agree with other reviewers, however. I purchased an XS, and it fit perfectly, except the arm holes were a bit too large, which cheapens the overall look. The worst part that I couldn't stand, though, is that the fabric is very itchy. I don't remember the content of the fabric, but it has a synthetic quality about it in a bad way. It reminds me of fiberglass. It's not desirable to wear a form-fitting dress on a summer day that feels like the itchiest wool sweater. Of course, I returned it.

Love this dress real bad. I wear it so often. I don't experience it being itchy as others have stated. I'm a 20-22 and got the 3x.

Arrived damaged. It’s tearing near the stitches. Something off with the material. It’s also itchy. I agree with all the comments

I really liked the look of this dress, but after only 3 wears, the seams on the skirt part ripped. It wasn't an issue of fit because it was on the loose part of the skirt. I had noticed that all of the seams looked thin before the rip. It just doesn't seem like it was made well at all. The seams were also scratchy.

I read all of the comments about it being itchy and decided to try it out myself… Turns out it is truly unbearably itchy, even though it was a perfect fit on me. I had to return it. I’m a size 10 pair shape and at 59 it was the perfect mid length. The top fit me perfectly as well but I just could not handle the material within five minutes.

This is well made dress and a bargain for the price. The fit is like a glove with no alteration needed. I am 5’4” and length hit just below my knees. I looked at a dress for $200 that was not made as well. I purchased the charcoal grey and can be worn throughout the year by simply changing accessories and adding a jacket.

I saw this at the store and thought it was so cute. Like some reviews here said, the fabric was oddly really itchy. The fabric itself felt soft. I was wearing a very lightweight blouse and decided to just throw the dress over my clothes real quick to gauge what size to try on. I barely had it on when I felt this horrible scratchy, prickly, itchy sensation. I was baffled because the fabric doesn't feel that way. It made me feel like fine particles of an irritant (it felt like fiberglass) or a chemical is in the fabric, which may be why it's not itchy to everyone.

I was so hopeful for this dress, but it’s not a good fit. First of all, the fabric is way too itchy. As far as the fit goes, it fits well other than the bust. I got an XS (my usual size), & it fit fine everywhere but I couldn’t button the top button. Also, the pockets stick out a bit.

It’s a great fit, I just wish it came in petite. It’s a little long on me.
