Very uncomfortable and cut into the back of my ankles. Unable to wear them.

I wish I had read more reviews. Like many others have stated, the upper part of the boot is almost too rigid (yes i understand it’s rubber and needed for the waterproof element) I’d suggest a nice thick cushion around the upper edges to help them from digging into your leg. Maybe something neoprene for a bit more flexibility? Unfortunately, because they are rubber, I don’t see the “breaking in” period ever coming to an end, and these boots may have been a waste of money.

I really liked these boots, so much so that I got a second pair. I get ankle support and good tracktion as well as warmth in the winter. (I wear them year-round though)

I bought these on the reccomendation of friends to use for exploring caves. I have only used them once for this purpose but I did two short hikes in them before heading underground. They are very different from any other boots I've worn. The toe box is a bit wide but is OK with thick smart wool socks. In the caving environment water does get in the boot when walking in deep streams or pools of water. This was not a problem because I'm used to wet feet in a cave. I had to adapt some of my climbing techniques because of the thickness of the toe box of the boots. I also found that the boots caused a bit of rub in the ankle area. Overall, I think once I adjust my some of my techniques I will like the boots. They were much easier to clean after the trip and I think they will hold up better than my old hiking boots. My initial outing with them was good.

I work a lawncare job. I bought these and they worked great at first, but before the season was even over they were cracking and separating. I wouldn't waste my money again.

Comfortable for the most part. A little heavier than I prefer for a hiking boot. A little tight around the ankle with no padding there so I can’t lace them all the way up.

I bought these last month and have not worn them. There is a seem on the inside of the heel that sticks out and would not be comfortable for any length of wear. I would love the opportunity to exchange for something different.

I have worn this in the snow walking my dogs and helping my husband clean up brush in the woods. It fits well, is warm, and looks as stylish as a boot could look.

I’m a huge fan of the muck boots, these keep my feet warm but feel funny on the ankles like something is rubbing on it. Hoping once I wear them more this little mishap will work itself out

Bought these boots a year ago.was so excited. Have tried to wear them multiple times and just can’t. They rub on my ankles and I have to tie them tight so they don’t flop off my feet. So much toe space. Uncomfortable. 0/10, would not buy again.

I love Muck Boot Company and I have several pairs. I have the tall boots and they are going on 18 years now. I was excited to get the Apex style, but the insoles came apart in less than a month. For the price, they should at least last longer….. My other complaint is the laces. I guess it’s the material but they won’t stay tied at all. Even double knots slide out.

Good pair of boots. I would have ranked them a five star rating but I did not because they are slightly too big. I should have either bought a half size or gone down a size. Otherwise, I liked them am find my feet not damp at the end of the work day like my other “waterproof” boots that I purchased (those boots are not muck boots).

The fit of these boots was a dream when I first put them on, they're extremely comfy. But then I walked through my house and realized what all the negative reviews were talking about. The back of the boot is too high and too stiff, with each step it scrapes above my Achilles tendon, no matter the type of sock I threw on to cushion it. The only way I would be able to wear these is by taking very short steps so that there is almost no bend in my ankle when stepping forward. I've contacted Muck to start a return. What a bummer, these would've made amazing winter boots.

Boots are comfortable and I liked them until the zipper quit working after a month. Customer service response was oh well tough.

They where to large and we’re sent back and haven’t got the returned to us yet can’t review yet

Best boots!! I'll order another pair for sure. I use these daily for my horse business and outside chores. Super comfortable and warm.

Uncomfortable around the ankle after wearing for any amount of time. They also make my feet sweat after having them on for a short time.
