Q: I tried two different ones at the local store and neither one had a bell or ringing when the timer was done… were they defective or do they not have a sound?

Good little clock! I got it for my bathroom so you can set a timer for showers. The bell is loud and lasts about 3 seconds, as advertised. Setting the timer is a little tricky (turn it clockwise past 55 then counterclockwise to the time you want) so I wonder if other reviewers may have missed that step. It takes an AA battery, not sure why that isn't included in the description.

Great homeschool tool
This has been great for homeschool with my 3rd grader and preschooler. We set a timer to encourage working for 'just 10 more mins' my 3rd grader loves to see what he can get done in an amount of time. He's gone from reading 30 mins a day to 1 hour/ day because the timer is so exciting. It's also helped solidify how much time '15 mins' '30 mins' is in real life situations because we are using the timer so often.

Smaller than it looks, smaller than a paper towel role lol. Very cute kitchen piece, gives very “old timey” vibes; and a very cute addition to a kitchen. The timer doesn’t ring when it’s done, so I would recommend that you set another timer on your phone as a precaution!

So adorable

Cutest kitchen timer
First thought out of the gate was how adorable this kitchen timer is. Not only a timer but also a working clock. The faux wood gives a retro contemporary feel. It only requires 1 AA battery and can be put on the kitchen wall as decor. This would make a great housewarming gift!

This is a super cute clock! The color is perfect for my kitchen. I love the added timer to it, too. Overall, I love the vibe of this clock- rustic country. It makes me a feel a little nostalgic for the kitchen I grew up in. I would recommend!

Very cute clock. As others have mentioned, it is plastic (not wood) and it is a little smaller than the online pictures would imply. Pros: Cute retro look! Looks great in our space and is the right size for us. Clock ticking mechanism is very quiet. Cons: the bell/timer is rather quiet and short. Not sure if that is unique to our clock or all of them. Timer bell is hardly more than one second long. Timer does not work very well for 5 minutes or less. *would give 5 stars if timer bell worked better. Possibly is a lone issue with ours?
