Cushions are a bit too firm, but I think that is just because it is brand new. The chair is beautiful overall.

These chairs look gorgeous and elegant! I ordered 2 for our living room. They have deep dark wood arms and legs with black undertones (no red!). The cushions are so pretty and a nice neutral cream base color with tan stripe. The style could blend well with a variety of decor. They are lovely! Some reviewers mentioned the stripes not lining up on the back cushion and seat but this doesn’t take away from the aesthetic in my opinion. It is awesome that the back and seat cushions are detachable and zippered so you could refill or clean if needed. The seat is not reversible (Velcro on the underside) but the back cushion is. As some others mentioned, the seat is a bit firm but I think it’s a good thing for longevity and that it would soften over time. The back of the chair is actually a thick stretched piece of matching fabric but it is quite sturdy. The assembly wasn’t complicated but I did need an extra set of hands to hold the back piece stretched taut while screwing in the support bracket so bear that in mind for assembly. Overall they are a bit lower than they looked in the photos (my fault for not paying closer attention to the measurements). My main issue with these is comfort. The arms are sort of low so it’s difficult to rest your arms comfortably on them. The back cushion seems like it should be a bit larger and more filled, and I think a lumbar pillow would be needed for support to use these. They just aren’t great to sit in for very long. It feels like you have to slouch in them at a weird angle or sit up very straight, neither of which is all that comfortable. They would be perfect for occasional chairs but we need something that will be comfortable for more frequent use so even though I love the look of these I will likely be returning them.

The chair was nice. But very disappointed with chair. Do to the manufacturer default, they put a screw in one of the armchair to be able to screw in the bolt . However it stripped it while we tried too tighten all the screws as the instructions said. It took us 2 1/2 hours to built this chair. A waist of our time.

Love the dark wood and subtle curves of this chair. Sturdy and good quality. Also easy to assemble.

We have two of these chairs and love them. I sat in the display at the store and was very surprised at how comfortable the chair is. We ended up home with two chairs that were brand new and not on display, and they were not as comfortable. It just takes some time to break them in. The display ended up being very comfortable because it had been sat in so many times, ha! Highly recommend this chair, but just be aware if you order online, it will be quite stiff at first. Worth the breaking in to get a beautiful yet comfortable chair for your home.

Stumbled upon this chair while roaming around Target. My first thought was that's cute but surely it wouldn't be comfortable....right?? Sat down and was pleasantly surprised! It's quite comfy! Wait...I bet it's $500. Checked the tag and was even more surprised by the price. Immediately checked it for damage and then found someone to help me carry it to the front. As for those that stated it arrived damage, I can't speak to that as I was lucky enough to find it in store so my task was to get it home without damaging it myself. I recommend this chair. Ottoman was cute as well but I only needed the chair.

The first chair ordered was defective, so I was unable to put it together. The hole in the arm was drilled in the incorrect spot. The 2nd chair received, all of the stripes were not straight or lining up, as it looked like the cushions were poorly sewn, and the seat cushion was sew lopsided. I ended up returning the chair and ottoman, which had the same issue with the stripes.

I am very much pleased with this chair from Studio McGee. I like the quality of the wood and the fabric, but most of all It is so comfortable! I didn't want to spend a lot in my living room but didn't think I would be able to purchase something this nice at this price.

I purchased 2 chairs and the ottoman and they complete a room makeover. Stylish, comfortable and the price was in believable.

This chair is a perfect in out family room. Comfortable and sturdy too.

These are overall nice chairs, but I have a glaring issue. I was sure to check the images before ordering and all promotional images have the stripes lined up. I ordered two chairs and the lines are not only not lined up at the seams but also even crooked. The chair itself looks high end but any designer chair would have a pattern that lines up. I believe it was intentionally misleading because the promotional images are perfect and an inaccurate representation. I also agree with the other review that said they tried a pillow for lumbar support, I was hoping to try the same.

At 5’4 this chair doesn’t work well for me because it’s sooo deep. I have to sit straight up and my back doesn’t come anywhere near the back pillow. I tried adding a throw pillow and a lumbar pillow and neither seemed to work. It’s a beautiful chair and I will probably keep it, but just know it’s an awkward chair to sit in.

This chair is seriously so gorgeous in person. I’ve been looking for an accent chair for over a year and I love the real dark looking wood, almost black wood in person which was perfect. The price and quality are perfect!!
