Q: Is this litter flushable?

submitted by Stefinitely - 7 years ago
  • A: not unless you want your toilets to backup.

submitted byscreen name - 6 years ago
  • A: Great question Stefinitely, the answer is yes! All World’s Best Cat Litter™ formulas have undergone rigorous testing to confirm they are sewer and septic safe. Unlike clay-based litters, World’s Best Cat Litter™ harnesses the concentrated power of corn, so you can simply scoop, flush* and move on with your day!

  • A: I have been flushing it for 4 months now, with no problem. I know others who have been flushing it for a lot longer than that. It is not clay litter; if you don't have some kind of hinky septic system, you should be ok.

Q: Is this packaging recyclable?

submitted by Bram - 2 years ago
  • A: Our packaging is recyclable but only at facilities that offer recycling for #7 materials.

  • A: It is not recyclable packaging.

Q: Does this have any scent? Or does it smell the same as the regular World's best Cat litter--the stuff in the green bag?

submitted by phdrunner - 2 years ago
  • A: Thanks for the question! No, it's unscented. Our Multiple Cat Unscented formula is just like the Original Unscented formula (the "green bag"), but it has additional all-natural plant material for enhanced odor control to stand up to multiple-cat homes.

submitted byWBCL - 2 years ago
    Brand expert
  • A: No, it is unscented. Although we have only one cat, we prefer the multiple cat unscented formula in the red bag. In our opinion, it seems to keep odors away a little better than the original green bag.

Q: how deep should I fill the litter box?

submitted by mike in akron - 4 years ago
  • A: Thanks for your question! We recommend keeping 2-3 inches of litter in the box at a time for optimal clumping.

submitted byWBCL - 1 month ago

Q: Is this littler flushable?

submitted by Jane - 6 months ago
  • A: Yes, World's Best Cat Litter is flushable. We recommend placing only 1-2 clumps at a time in the toilet as a general guide for responsible flushing.

Q: How does this product compare to clay litter when it comes to tracking litter around the house?

submitted by Albany Mom - 3 years ago
  • A: Hello - our litter is low tracking! We created a blog on our website with tips to reduce tracking that may be of additional help to you as well.

Q: How is this different from the regular World's Best (green bag)?

submitted by PeggyD - 5 years ago
  • A: Hi Peggy, thanks for your question! Our Multiple Cat Clumping formula offers our signature corn-based litter, found in our Original Formula, plus added plant fibers for superior clumping and odor control, to make cleanup easier for homes with more than one cat.

Toxic to kitties. They will eat it as it smells like food to them.

Both my cats ate it and threw it up onto the carpet - big clumps of corn litter. The youtube reveiwer I watched said her cats also ate it. They need to do something to ensure cats don't eat it. Otherwise, it would be really good cat litter.

Listed for $29.99 last year, this year it’s $41.99. The price is insane, as well as the fact that the quality has gone down so much. It’s made of corn, there are so many subsidies for that. Why is it so expensive and so poor?

Litter's Legacy

I’ve used this litter for most of my elderly cat’s life. It used to be consistently highest quality inside those sealed bags. The product quality is not consistent anymore nowadays: Sometimes it’s as if it were still much too moist to have been placed in a sealed bag. (Its primary component is corn.) It’s brick-hard. So, a prospective customer wants to make sure to purchase numerous bags when they’re good quality!!! And, even though the product quality is no longer consistent, pricing sure is: You can be assured that the next bag(-s) you buy when you find some that are flexible or not caked, are going to be a couple dollars higher than they were the last time the cashier scanned them!!!

My cat had her spay surgery which says she needs dustless litter. I tried this and she was covered in dust on her paws which was an immediate no with her surgery so I had to immediately stop using it and get something else so the dust doesn’t go in her incision

Clumps Well But The Stench...

Wanted to love it. I tried. I really did.. Positives: clumps very well, lightweight, cats (we have two) made the switch quite easily, low tracking (or so I thought) Negatives: stinks to high heaven after a day or so, even when cleaned out; after just a week and a half, my cats “pulverized it” to a dust. It was more like ground litter than the original “balls”; once ground up, the dust was EVERYWHERE. The stink is the absolute WORST tho. Barf! Not buying this again, and cannot go back to Pretty Litter (unless I get two boxes. It’s just not worth the cost with two cats). May try the pellet kind again, but a tad leery now, especially if it’s a “natural litter.” Will probably go back to my original, Arm & Hammer Multi-Cat.

Fly larvae

I was really happy with this litter for a long time but recently I purchased the lavender scent litter like I normally do, and I noticed that there was a lot of fly larva in my newly put out litter. It was really frustrating to have to waste a bunch of litter when it’s so expensive.

Mini Tamales!

Crys - 1 month ago
Been transitioning from a old pea husk that does not clump well to this. Clumps really well if left to sit. Since it’s corn it’s like digging for little mini tamales once it’s had time to dry.i like the corn scent as well. It does not however cover up poop odor immediately takes some time for the corn to dry out the poop and absorb odor which is fine with me cause I don’t come home to odors in the box. Cat is talking to litter well. As far as dust, there is a little dust.As far as tracking, it does track but not nearly as much as clay. Would recommend

I love this litter for my cats. Although it does track a lot which is a downfall, it clumps very well. You have to leave the urine to clump and don’t try to immediately scoop it up. It won’t clump correctly if you try to scoop it up fast. Give it some time. It could use a nice scent though.

Old favorite

SF - 2 months ago, Verified purchaser
This used to be my favorite litter hands down. However I’ve noticed over the years that it doesn’t do as good a job with odor control. It tracks like crazy leaving dust everywhere my cat walks for a while after he leaves the litter box. I have since made the switch to oko cat less mess. It has its cons too but at least it doesn’t leave a dust trail everywhere on my dark floors.

Litter does not clump well at all and tracks easily. Very dusty when cleaning and the smell lingers. The litter itself has an odor to it and does not hide any smells once our cats used it. We have tried all the other versions of W B. and they all stink. We recently did a side by side with Boxxie brand litter and our cats immediately refused to use the box with World's Best. World's Best is relying on their marketing vs putting out a good product.

I tried this cat litter after reading the NYTimes Wirecutter review ranking it the best cat litter available. And I regret it. Not only did this cat litter fail to clump probably or contain odors, but two of my three cats hated it so much that they started pooping and peeing on a nearby brand new rug. My younger daughter commented that once the cat started using this the litter box smelled like a farm - and it’s true. I threw the rest of it away and returned to regular cat litter. Do not recommend.

This litter isn't terrible. It smells like a farm to me. My cat uses it and doesn't seem to mind it. Mixed with poop, the smell is horrendous. The only thing I wish this litter would do is clump a little harder. The clumps stay soggy and fall apart when trying to scoop it out and so the pee soaked litter falls right back into the litter. The tracking is like mushy, dusty. It's hard to clean off the floor.

Absolutely true: WORLD'S BEST CAT LITTER, ever!

5 out of 5 stars
Foster MamaCat - 2 months ago
originally posted on worldsbestcatlitter.com
We're not prone to writing product reviews, especially for something like kitty litter, but in over 5+ decades of owning and loving felines, there has never been a product better designed for their daily critical care as World's Best Cat Litter, which is a bold enough name to give themselves, but they are in fact absolutely correct! Not only does it do what it's supposed to (clumps easily for quick scooping and holds together without crumbling, NO dust, NO odor and whether this is a feature of this product or not, NO litter mess outside the boxes!). Truly a revolutionary litter and best of all, it's made in the USA by responsible stewards of our little planet, so it really doesn't get any better than this! We were skeptical at first and hesitant because of the cost, but ultimately this litter is far more cost effective than any other brand and it truly does last much longer and goes a lot further. Worth every cent! We'll never use anything else and are convincing all of our family and friends with cats to convert as well!
