Q: how do i turn this darn helicopter on its all charged and not doing anything at all..

A: Fooled us for a time too. There's a TINY red switch between the charging port and infrared receiver that hangs down. Slides left to right, not front to back.

Instructions say to change the frequency but no instruction on how to do so. Could not find a switch on either the remote or helicopter.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I saw a lot of negative reviews about the Spiderman Hornet Helicopter, and some of them are true—it can be tricky to control, crashes a lot, and the battery doesn’t last long. But the design is neat, and my nephew enjoyed it for a few minutes, before it crashed and broke. It's definitely NOT a durable toy. Unless you want a kid extremely disappointed, steer clear from this one! (Note: After it crashed and broke, my husband trashed it, so I don't have any pictures of it "in-flight.")

We had about an hour of fun with it, and let me tell you this thing goes HIGH! A lot higher than we anticipated. Hence why we’re unable to get it out of the tree lol I’ll definitely be buying another and ensuring we only use it in an open field with no trees around.

Crashed it into the wall lots of time and still up and running. I played it with my 8 year old and it not easy to control. Took a few time to get used to the take off without it crashing into something. Flying it was not easy to control the direction it is going since it keeps moving in a circular direction. But it’s so fun one in the air flying around. Might just need more time to get used to the controls. Also like the sensor that allows it to fly when it senses your hand.

We definitely wrecked it a couple times into the wall, the durability of it held up. I also love that it came with extra blades! It was easy to fly with the remote control it comes with and is the perfect helicopter for a beginner!

I'm trying to steer it. So if you give this to a kid, I would recommend doing it outside, because I think it would be a little challenging to try to fly inside, especially for a child.

On first inspection it looked really cool, but the remote control for the helicopter seemed to be really cheap plastic. The controls were hard to use and the helicopter really just goes up and down. We took outside to try it out but I would not recommend that at all. Unless you want to climb on your roof multiple times to get it down. If there is any kind of wind it will take it away. The remote does not have a large range and has to be very close to the helicopter for it to work. I think younger kids would love its design but may get frustrated with how hard it is to control.
