Description

TOOL ONLY. The JAWSAW™, simply put, is the safest chainsaw on the market. Who would’ve thought a safe chainsaw was even possible. Our engineers did, and built a saw with such creative functionality and design that it’s the most innovative take on the chainsaw since its invention. What makes it so safe is its housing and retractable blade. The thick protective shell on the JAWSAW leaves the chain and bar far less exposed than on traditional chainsaws. The blade and chain are incapable of getting outside of the housing when in use. And when not in use they retract into the neck of the tool, so you’ll never have an exposed saw just lying around. You can even cut branches directly on the ground. Regular chainsaws require you to prop up logs and branches to safely cut them. But the JAWSAW’s protective housing acts as that prop so you can cut fallen branches directly on the grass or pavement. It’s only 7.9 lbs with the battery attached, that makes it easy to cut branches over your head, and just use in general. Its no-load speed is 1350 revs/min, so it’s got some bite to it. And the automatic chain tightening and oiling systems keep the blade and chain operating at peak efficiency at all times. This particular Worx 20V Power Share JAWSAW Cordless Chainsaw doesn’t come with a battery. It’s meant for Power Share users that already have some batteries at home. That’s the great thing about Power Share tools, you save money because you don’t always have to buy the battery.

This is a SUPERB tool, and it's very easy to use. I was able to clear off my fence line of small trees with a minimum of effort. I saved a lot of money by using this tool. I also love the fact that the easy-share batteries worked immediately and without any adjustments.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this saw for trimming trees around my yard. This saw easily cuts down branches then allows me to chop them up in lengths to easily manage and it looks cool. It works great and I would definitely recommend this chainsaw for cutting small diameter wood. If you need to cut down something big, then this is the wrong tool for the job because the jaws only take wood a certain size.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My wife ordered this about 4 years ago to help clean off 13 acres of wood land we had purchased. I was not too keen on the idea but she wanted it. After using it and seeing how awesome it was that is all it took to change me. I was sold on this saw. After almost 3 years of use it started having a problem with when you pushed down the handle and pulled the start it lost it's connection and I could not get it to work. I called customer service and they were so nice. I told them what was going on and I was hoping to send it in to get it repaired but the rep told me no problem it was still under warrenty and they would just send me out another one. WOW... I did not even have to return the bad one. I have had the replacement for almost 2 years now and it is still working great. I highly recommend this produce along with any of the others. They are amazing tools. I have the Saw, Drill, Saber Saw and just purchased the hedge trimmers which works so good. Thank you WORX...

I purchased the jawsaw for my husband with an ulterior motive. He loves to put extremely large limbs and branches in the fire pit but that always made me very nervous…I ordered this saw and quickly realized that it was a winner. Light weight, easy to use and I feel completely safe using it!!! Hands down an effective way to safely clean up around the property! This thing cuts like butter!!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Anyone who has limbs to clean up, either occasionally or often, this tool should be in your arsenal to help get rid of them in a hurry. It is very easy and safe to use. Cut up those limbs in shorter lengths and put the pieces in bags to get rid of them in a hurry.

I love hiw easy it is for me to handle but it still cuts decent sized trees logs down. The Regular size Saw is difficult kinda for me the chain slips. But with the Bear Claw Saw I can still complete tougher jobs on my own without a man's help as a Single Mother Home Owner

I'd never even considered buying a chainsaw because of the danger regular chainsaws pose. But I watched a number of videos of people using the JawSaw, and it looked safe, effective, and easy to use. There is a limit to the diameter the JawSaw can handle, but I was able to clean up my yard and tackle a number of pruning tasks that I'd been putting off. It really is easy to use. I'm a big fan of Worx tools and now have seven.

My wife and I just bought our dream home on a small lake. We have amazing mature trees that we love. However, smaller trees are blocking our view of the lake. I bought the jawsaw to help me take care of this problem. It is the most amazing tool I have ever used. Not only does it take the trees to the ground, it then allows me to trim the limbs and cut the fallen tree into manageable pieces. Thanks Worx, it works!!!

Bought this saw two years ago. Used it to cut up small logs and branches sucessfully. Little tricky to keep chainsaw tension correct...needs adjustment frequently. Like one of the other reviews, saw quit in the middle of a cut and by all indications, seems the motor has burned out. Saw well maintained and oiled, so quite disappointed at lack of longevity of tool.

Hello Valued Customer. Thank you for taking the time to share your experience and review. Your feedback helps us understand where we can improve. The best way to ensure the chain is properly installed on your chainsaw is to follow these directions. When installing a new chain, wrap the chain around the bar and sprocket. Pull the bar out stretching the chain. Continue holding the bar out while attaching the casing to the chainsaw. New chains will go through a period of stretching. I recommend checking the tension after 3-5 cuts and re-tensioning if necessary. To re-tension, your chainsaw, turn the tensioner knob counterclockwise at least 3-4 times then turn the tensioner knob clockwise until the chain is tensioned. To determine if the chain is properly tensioned, you can pull the chain up in the center of the upper edge of the bar. If you can see a tiny sliver of light between the bar and chain, then it is tensioned properly. If you see no light, it is too tight, a lot of light means it is not tensioned enough. If you are unable to get the chain to tension with these steps, go back to the beginning and re-install the chain

This performs as advertised. I have about 2 acres with quite a few trees, so I am always trimming trees or cleaning up fallen limbs after a storm. This is the easiest and quickest way ever to do so without constant bending over. I have 2 of the smaller batteries, and they perform well, giving me all the power I need to take care of my property. The tool is awesome and it has a great warranty. This is a must have for any property owner!

The Jawsaw works very well for what I want it to do.It is relatively light allowing me to use it even with a chronic elbow problem. You do need to use some force on the back handle but if you just let the saw do the cutting it has not been an issue. I mainly got the saw to cut a lot of smaller tree stumps that remained after using a chainsaw. It was really a safety issue because they were easy to trip over particularly when leaves fell in the fall. Using the saw in a horizontal position I was able to get very close to the ground and cut the stumps easily. I also had no difficulty cutting branches and fallen limbs that were just under 4 inches in diameter. The fact that it is battery powered is great since I live in the woods and was easily able to transport it without the extension cord. I wouldn’t say it has a lot of power but it was sufficient to do everything I wanted to do. I’m a senior citizen and really like the added safety with this design. Overall I am very pleased with the purchase. I think they make great products as I also have one of their grass trimmer/edgers which is excellent. The customer service is also excellent. Prior to getting this Jawsaw I had purchased their 14 inch battery chainsaw. It was too heavy for me to use and I was able to return it without any difficulties.

I just received this a couple of days ago. I wish the battery life were longer, but it worked well for what I was doing. My main complaint is that it came in a simple cardboard box with nothing in side for protection. The Post Office had to put a label on it saying that it came opened and was not sealed. When you look at the utube videos, they show boxes specifically made for the saw. Mine came totally unprotected.
