Q: Are they easy to remove? Do the take paint off?

A: These can take paint off if you pull it straight off a painted wall or surface. The strong glue bond often holds onto the paint tighter than the paint holds onto the wall. Best practice to remove from a painted surface is to blow warm air on the hook and loop fastener with a hair dryer on a low setting for one to two minutes to soften the glue. Gently lift a corner and peel downward flat against the surface, never pulling straight out.
