The controller offers a range of customizable features and a solid feel, making it appealing for gamers seeking a premium experience. However, many guests report issues with durability, including unresponsive buttons and stick drift after a few months of use. While some appreciate the weight and design, the overall quality control has raised concerns. Guests recommend considering a warranty for long-term use, as many controllers fail within months.

• Defective Right Out of the Box
I was so excited to give this to my son for Christmas. Unfortunately, the excitement didn’t last long. On Christmas Day, he opened it and started using it, but within about an hour he noticed stick drift. The controller pulls on its own, making games unplayable. This was extremely disappointing, especially since it was brand new and only used briefly before the issue started. A product like this should not have problems right out of the box. Sadly, my son hasn’t been able to use it to play his game at all.

Buying online is a joke. Yakima Target wouldn't let me pick up my order when I arrived. They said it takes at least two hours to process even though I had my order number and confirmation of payment. The product was in the shelf and they said they cannot do anything until it processes even though the online order said "may take up to two hrs. Not at least two hrs. I asked if she couldn't have it brought up or if I could back to electronics and was told no. Don't buy online at target and don't shop at Yakima target. The controller is probably great. I don't know because I don't have it yet even though I was in the store.

Controller is nice, but got horrible stick drift after like 3 months. Paddles and everything else work great, but borderline unusable with the drift.

Stick drift
Controller is great, but gets horrible stick drift after 6 months of barely gaming with it. If they could fix stick drift it’d be 5/5 stars

Do Not Purchase
Controllers have poor wiring between motherboard and the integrated battery. This creates excessively drain on the power supply shortening the life span A replacement battery cost + $17 but not a repair for the none professional or faint of heart. Its a poor design. Stay away from the controolers with integrated battery. Xbox one controllers do work with the latest xbox consoles.

Really Like the product, needs alot alot of work
Honestly, couldn’t give a worst review this is my second time buying this controller really like it. It’s economic works great. The issue is with the triggers and the thumb sticks. They both tend to go out after I don’t know two or three months. I mean completely stopped working, especially for first person shooters. The triggers are really messing me up. Probably need to do a warranty return, but Microsoft doesn’t make that easy. Do yourself a favor if you’re gonna spend the money look elsewhere.

Save your money!
It was decent while it lasted, but we purchased this in Feb 2025, and it’s been glitchy since the beginning when it came to the connection. As of this week, less than 6 months later, with not a ton of use, it’s quit working completely and will no longer connect at all. Very disappointed in the quality and a total waste of money! We’ve had several off brands that were less expensive and higher quality.

Doesn't hold up
Two years of moderate use and the RB and B buttons have lost responsiveness. From the start the d-pad was never as accurate as it should be. but just like the previous gen, Xbox controller durability is garbage. The 360 controllers were eternal, but after that it's been all downhill.

Don't buy from controller from here.
Controller consistently disconnects from xbox, as if syncing error but it's a "reset" error within the controller.

very poorly made... you will have to buy another soon
if you have had one of these controllers before you probably will know how awful the bumpers and joysticks are. repetitively using it for weeks will result in the bumpers not working and you will also get massive amounts of stick drift. i have bought atleast 5 of these controllers in the last 3 years and let me say if regular xbox controllers had paddles that would be my go to. i shouldnt have to buy a 150$ controller every 6 months because i play a game that requires me to use my bumpers to navigate... very poorly made, controller does feel nice when brand new but goodluck keeping it new.

Scummy Business Practices
Super scummy business practices. The website shows a photo with at least 2 paddles on the back of the controller, insinuating that they are included. I understand that there are more expensive packs with a variety of different paddles, thumbsticks, etc. But the fact that this one shows at least 2 paddles, you would think they come with it. Lesson learned, very scummy. Also, the generic response to questions on this page asking if they are included, is super vague and ambiguous. Also scummy.

Solid build
I love the white and black color combo and this controller just feels premium. It has a good weight and feels similar to the original Elite controller. My only gripe is the bumper and trigger has a matte feel to it which feels cheaper. Other than that, I got this controller on sale for a very fair price so i'm happy. FYI I've owned another Xbox Elite controller for about 2+ years and it has yet to develope any stick drift. Then again im not a hardcore gamer, more casual.
