Cloud saved dont work

Games do not sync to cloud. I bought this so I could play Avowed in the living room with my partner instead of on my desktop PC. It supposedly offers cross-platform cloud saves but the continue button is greyed out with an exclamation point icon. The console makes me login with a password when I open it and keeps selling me subscriptions. PlayStation is much better. Thinking of returning it. Microsoft is failing at this..

All defective

Had to return it and try again like 15 times I'm sick of it. Absolutely every single one is defective. Either the box is all beat up and scratched or the Xbox console has oil stains on it or chips in it or back piece of console isn't perfectly straight or controller sticks rub funny or console smells burnt. Gonna return again and keep trying for a perfect one but I shouldn't have to do this they should all be perfect 🤬
