The Xbox Wireless Controller – Ice Breaker Special Edition can be charged if a separate rechargeable battery pack is installed, and it is compatible with charging stations that work with official Xbox controllers. The controller itself does not have a built-in rechargeable battery and initially comes with two standard AA alkaline batteries.
