The Ankle Deck Boot collection, by XTRATUF, has a lightweight design with the same slip-resisting Chevron outsole found on the Legacy boot collection. These waterproof 6-inch boots have loops affixed to the vamp and ankle, helping you to place. Inside the boots have an XPRESSCOOL cooling liner that keeps feet comfortable in both cool and warm environments. An SRA-rated, slip-resisting outsole composed of an an exclusive rubber compound grips the floor surface, providing sure footing. This boot is constructed with hand-layered rubber, and so not classified as an XTRATUF commercial grade boot.     I bought these in October on the advice of my Alaskan friends to wear while I’m working in Alaska for the summer. I was told that they’re comfortable and durable. Comfortable, yes. Durable? No not very. I’ve worn them daily for the last 3 months. A few days ago I discovered a crack in each boot at the crease by my big toe. Very disappointed.

    Ive bought 4 pairs of these boots so far. Only get about a year or 1.5 year out of them before they start dry rotting and become useless. I think i will try another brand to see if its me or the boots.

    Got these boots only 2 months ago and the big toe area is already cracking and dry rotting. They need to do better. Especially since I spent so much money on them. Not even waterproof anymore. Absolute garbage do not get these.

    Husband bought these boots for his inspection business. Ranted and raved about the comfort, but the quality is pretty subpar. Didn’t hold up past year two. Started cracking around the toes as others have stated. Ultimately, they’re rubber boots. We’ve had many other less expressive brands hold up for much longer.

    Have had for about a year, and the material develops cracks where the foot bends, at the ball of the foot. Starts leaking in wet locations. Expensive to replace.

    I used to be an advocate for these boots. However the durability has gone way down and price has gone up over the years. My first pair lasted a long time, the second pair has only lasted about a year before they both cracked at the toe. There is a visible difference between my first and this last pair. Goodbye xtratuf.

    I’ve had these boots for around a year and have had nothing but problems. The soles might have lasted 5 months before they became slick and started developing holes in the bottom. Then the sides of the boots started falling apart and left me with two holes on each side where my toes were. I’ve since stopped wearing them. Not impressed.

    I bought these boots for my boyfriend on Oct 19, 2024. He has not put these through the ringer at all. He wears them 1-2x a week when its rainy around town. Nothing crazy. About a month ago he noticed a crack starting in the rubber of the left boot, which has now turned into a large multi-crack system that leaks immediately. What a bummer dude.

    I bought these just about three months ago. In those three months, I have managed to split holes on the tops of both shoes and have worn clear through to the insoles on the bottoms. In all fairness, I don't have a car -- these boots are my Lamborfeeties and as such are subject to more walking than they're designed to endure. Still, it's not fun to work with wet feet. For casual wear, these are a great choice. I'd steer towards a hardier option for work shoes, though.

    My son loves these boots, he wore his old pair for years. Bought him a new pair for Christmas and the boot design is narrow and smaller now. Not sure what has changed with the boot design, but comfort, durability and width of toe bed has drastically changed. He has been trying to "break" them in for a month now and he has finally decided to try a different brand. So sad because these were his go to favorite boots that could withstand all the wear and tear. To pay this much money for shoes and not have the same wear is terribly disappointing.

    Very slippery on wooden docks or the aluminum government docks at most landings or wet concrete or asphalt. Treacherous on wet grass. These are just OK on fiberglass boat floors, but you will not like these anywhere else. Wish I could get a refund.

    Like many of the other negative reviews, my 6in Ankle Deck Boots split where the boots flex, near the big toe. I had these about a year and then they started splitting. I live in MT and wear these quite a bit in the winter when the snow is shallow, on icy days, and rainy days. I also wear these in the spring and fall in our backyard "urban farm." These get a lot of use and moderate abuse. Regardless, I expected to have these more than a year. I have the 15in Legacy Boot and the rubber has held up for 7 years, so I'm not sure why the material on the 6in fails so quickly.

    100% best boots I have ever purchase. I live on a farm. Horse stalls, chicken coop, 4 acres of pasture. I originally purchase them for wet weather around the farm. But soon started wearing them in place of my heavy leather boots. These are quick to put on, VERY durable. Water proof, which is key on a farm. I was concerned they wouldn't hold up to farm work (vs. boat work). But these boots held up to heavy construction, tractor work and all around farm chores.
