Big upgrade
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Updated from an ancient RXV-381. Was at least 15 years old. This connects to my network. Streaming works great. Much more musical than the last one.

Happy with this AV receiver
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Unit is high quality with good sound. At this price point the reason it didn't get 5 stars is no dolby atmos or 7.2. Otherwise happy with the sound and options to enjoy movies. Had trouble getting musiccast to work but Yamaha support was helpful resolving that.

Really like the receiver but...
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Really like the stereo, sounds good, excellent surround sound. Had one for 2 years and it started sounding bad then it died with a loud pop. Giving it one more try. Hopefully that was a one off issue. If not I'll be hard pressed to go back to Yamaha

This product was everything I expected, and its performance.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This product was everything I expected, and its performance is outstanding. I use it 12 hours a day, playing my music using Spotify and watching Movies. I added a new Yamaha Subwoofer to go with this receiver as well for incredible sound.

Not perfect, but good for the price.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The fit and finish is very nice. Nice sounding, Would be nice if it had Atmos at that price but overall I'm happy. Had a Sony AN1000 that had an HMDI port issue and got this. Still can't get musiccast to work. Latest APP "sees" receiver but can't get musiccast to work. It seems like musiccast is required in order to be able to control the receiver via the app?

Yamaha RX-V4A Receiver
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've liked Yamaha products for a long time. I paired this with a 77" LG OLED TV and Martin Logan speakers in a 5.1 configuration. We watch movies and play music through this unit. The sub is wireless but I wish I could fine tune the outputs a little better. I've tried to run the equalizer and it's pretty good but for the price this receiver is great.

Incredible Engineering!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Surpasses all of my expectations. This was an upgrade of a 15 year old AV receiver. Ease of setup with internet browser access to setup menu. Incredible array of inputs. I now stream music via the direct Ethernet input using MusicCast. Beautiful enclosure, sleek design, easy to see display. Highly recommend and I would not hesitate to purchase. #SWEEPSTAKES

Perfect AV Receiver for Medium-Sized Family Room
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The set-up process was extremely easy and quick. For a medium-sized family room, this AV receiver addresses my needs perfectly. It integrated easily with an Apple TV device and, of course, the big-screen television.

Yamaha Receiver
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It is ok for music, Bluetooth and great for Cinema, movies. It is not too good for talk shows like late night FOX or CNN. There is too much bass, echo and hollowness. The adjustments do not help. I thought my old Harman Kardon was cleaner for music, movies and talk shows. But they don't make them anymore.

Typical Yamaha Amp Excellence
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is the 2nd Yamaha Amp I have purchased in 15 years. This is NOT a replacement amplifier, but one for a different location, 5.1 system. This was a "no brainer" purchase. Not only are the specs fabulous, but perhaps a tad underrated. RMS output is rated 80 watts, however this amplifier pushes 88.5 RMS watts across the human ear hearing spectrum. (20hz - 20,000hz). When sounds hurt your ear drums, it's NOT the speakers, but the distorted sound feeding the speakers. Remember, you get what you pay for!!

Ok
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] You should make the unit where you wont need the hdmi arc chord to tv.The chord is pollution. If it is possible, make the pcb board one piece instead of 4.The stereo will put out more watts and have better sound qaulity. You wont need the plugs and wires. The stereo will work better If you make the piece that the stereo wire connects to smaller and insulate it also.

Complicated
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When I can get it to work, it's fine. I had Bluetooth working and now I cannot connect it from any.phone or device and the Guide is no help. Perhaps this product is too complicated for me.

Excellent system
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The sound system is good. There is some problems that could be fixed is to be able to regulate your surround zone. And to be able to switch from 5.1 to 7.1. And to turn your surround, sound off and on on certain things. Instead of having it Echo

Good but flawed.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Has good sound, easy to setup, but has 2 flaws. 1- Display is too small and hard to read. The blue on blue display offers to little contrast. My previous surrond sound receiver had a yellow and black display and was easy to see. 2- My Dish remote will not turn on the surround sound but will adjust volume and turn it off. I have to use two remotes. Needs improvement.

Yeah Yamah!!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Upgraded from a 2011 Pioneer receiver to the newer Yamaha RX-V4A. It's so much better and configurable. I'm using this just for music now buy will configure it for TV/movie viewing. The MusiCast app won't play some of my music. Mp3 format and m4a format. What's up with that? Fix your apps Yamaha, they have a lot to be desired. Luckily I use AirPlay and PLEX so my music library can play fully.
