A: No its solid plastic except the ink

A: No they dont light up. They are translucent though so light will go through them.

These are so cuuuute… I may or may not have gone back a second time to purchase more. Would make amazing gifts for the Star Wars fan in your life. A few things to note: 1) No, they don’t light up. But they also never claimed to do so. 2) The barrel is, of course, thicker than your normal pen and will affect your grip. 3) The ink is black and flows surprisingly smooth. 4) The pen cap actually does clip to the end for your convenience (see photo). 5) The ink well is small; I don’t expect these to last too long. 6) They are meant to be a novelty, not an legitimate office utensil. 7) They make excellent Baby Yoda lightsabers (see other photo). For 5 bucks, this is a fantastic buy. This is the way.
