brassy hinges on outside
This ottoman would be nice but they don't show you pictures of the back side -- because the hinges are huge, brass color and stick out from the backside. Who designed this??? Otherwise it is fine but the hinges showing like that is very disappointing.

Better design would make for more storage
I like the overall look of the ottoman but the design of the top hinged cover is disappointing. The ottoman is only 5” deep on bottom base, you lose space on top because it isn’t concave, I may take out the black lining on the top cover (it is hollow inside) to add 3.5” more of depth space. The lid won’t close if your blanket or pillow puffs out. Also I notice it will need frequent lint removal. Other than that is it a nice looking well made sturdy piece for the price.

Bought the Christopher Knight Home Zahra Storage Ottoman in July after buying a new sofa and loveseat elsewhere. We keep a tray inside so that it can also serve as a coffee table. It is not too hard, not too soft, a beautiful blue to contrast with out neutral light taupe living room set. It does pill, a little, because of my husbands white cotton sock lint attaching itself to the synthetic threads in the upholstery, but that is what ottomans are for, putting your feet up. It is easy to fix with a disposable razor and a lint roller. It was easy to assemble, sturdy and fabric looks like it will wear well over the years. I know fabric. Very happy with purchase. And it was on sale!

I love this ottoman...except it indeed takes a hold of pet hair with all its might and does not let go! I have a soft throw blanket laid over it at all times to help eliminate the dog hair attraction issue because lets face it, my dogs like this ottoman for napping. If you are a pet free home or do not allow your pets to lay on your furniture or rub on it this ottoman is indeed for you. Great value!

I love the size and storage of the ottoman, but it attracts everything — lint, cat hairs, truly anything. They constantly look filthy. We owned microfiber ottoman before these, and they never once looked like this.
