Whatever this new uneven lip seal Ziploc has is so bad. Rips when opening 99% of the time. Fast, slow, softly, hard, makes no difference. It's like not a single person tested these before they mass-produced a billion. Or maybe they did but just didn't want to take the loss. They know they've got the monopoly. No competition leads to low quality. Guess the development team felt a need to flex some muscles. Wasn't broken, nothing to fix, try to fix it anyway, and break it. Genius.

I have been a loyal Ziploc consumer for many years and purchase Ziploc Freezer bags in large quantities through the various warehouse clubs. I don't know what's going on with the bags, if they have changed suppliers or what, but the latest batches have a pinkish tinge and the mil is much thinner the older ones, which had more of a bluish tinge to them. Since, they are thinner I've been having to double bag everything before freezing it, which defeats the purpose of being cost effective. They used to be my favorite bags but now I'll have to start comparing with others on the market.

I have always used Ziploc bags and have always been very pleased with them. I recently purchased a bag of 50 Freezer Quart Slider bags and several of them will not open. I have not used the whole bag so I am not sure how many are defective. I have never had this problem before and think maybe there was just a bad run of them.
I would buy Ziploc bags again BUT.........

The great seals make little difference if the bag leaks in the corners. We have stored, for example, liver in the freezer in a gallon Ziploc bag. When we take it out to the refrigerator for thawing we have blood all over the refrigerator shelf because the bag leaks. This is not a one time deal.

We have used Ziploc products for many years. The gallon size has always been a staple in our home. However, recently, we have gotten multiple boxes where the seam separates on one side when we tried to open the bag. Typically they have always been reliable, but something has gone wrong with the quality control. I hope the company figures out what is going wrong so we don't have to continue throwing unused bags away, what a waste!

I find that when I open a new bag or any that I have already sealed. The smaller side of the ziploc 'flap' seems to be a thinner material and stretches to much before it even opens. Sometimes the small side just tears when I try to open it. The bags need to be a little more rigid for opening.

Every box I have bought since April '22 has been awful. First time I just thought it was a bad batch but no they all are horribly difficult to open, most of the time they end up ripping. I mean I get wanting a tight seal but this is just ridiculous. Starting to look to other brands this is just to frustrating

I have bought 2 boxes of the 1 gallon storage bags, separately, and have the same problem. I simply cannot open a bag without a lot of effort, and most of the time, the bag rips. Very dissatisfied.

I bought the 24 Freezer Gallon Slider bags and they just don't work / seal. Try and Try - but nothing. All other Ziploc bags are Great. Not this one!!!

I have always used Ziploc bags but the last box I purchased every bag I've tried to use will not stay closed. Completely useless! I am so disappointed in ziploc!!!! It says ultra protection but can't even get it from the counter to the freezer without it popping open. Bought a large box and none of them work.

I use the "slider quart size bags" for saving both new / freshly purchased & leftover food, both at room temperature and cold. Been using these for years. Recently I purchased a box of "76 slider quart size bags" and was glad I had not yet disposed of the prior no name brand's 50 slider quart size box because the design and placement of the opening for the "Ziploc 76 quart slider bags" was weird. The "ZIPLOC 76" box design & opening positions take up 3 times the horizontal shelf space versus vertical space that a properly designed box does; the box opening was in the middle of the bags instead of next to the narrow end near the slider that is easiest to grab; and overall the Ziploc 76's box design concept wastes interior space for its contents. What is the point of putting these slider quart storage bags in a useless box? And causing Ziploc customers to find an alternative storage method in order to eliminate the awkward & inconvenient box Ziploc sells them in?

I love using these bags to put my produce in and put in the freezer. They are the perfect bag to put corn on the cob in and green beans. My garden goodies won't go to waste as long as I have ziplock freezer bags.
