DIRECTIONS FOR USE: Ziploc® Bags are reusable after hand-washing and drying! We do not recommend reusing Ziploc® bangs after storing raw meat, fish, eggs, or potentially allergy triggering foods. Microwave Defrost & Reheat - Open zipper one inch to vent.
WARNINGS: WARNING! To avoid danger of suffocation, keep bags away from babies and young children. Small slider could come loose from the bag and cause a choking hazard in small children. Immediately discard any loose sliders. When using in microwave, place bag on a microwave-safe dish. Handle with care. Bag and contents may be hot. Do not overheat contents because bag may melt. When defrosting and reheating, open zipper one inch to vent.

Q: I understand how these are reusable but not recyclable. CLEAN plastic bags and wrap like this can be recycled through special programs but not residential pickup- and must be clean/dry.

I'm baffled by all the 5 star ratings. I love Ziploc brand bags, but these ones simply DO NOT stay closed. It's like when you have a broken zipper on a backpack... no matter which way you slide it, it opens. And no, it was not just one bag, it seems to be all of them. I'm very surprised, since it is Ziploc, but nevertheless, these are horrible bags.

In a box of 13, only 8 were usable. The others had a defect where the blue zipper portion should be attached to the clear bag portion. This isn't the first time I experienced this with Ziploc bags. I do not recommend these bags.

I’ve tried other brands but nothing compares to ziplock. The last brand leaked chicken juice and marinade all inside my refrigerator. I’ve never had an issue with ziplock doing this, and I’ll gladly pay the extra $$ for the piece of mind knowing the contents stay inside the bag and out of my fruit bin!

I bought a 24 pack of Ziploc Slider Freezer (gallon). There is a 5" sllit in each of the bags. I thought it was just a couple that were defective, but the whole box was unusable. I have always trusted the Ziploc name for it's quality when shopping for storage/freezer bags. That will not happen again because the quality and flimsiness of the bags have gotten progressively worse. Maybe the cheaper versions are actually better. I threw away my receipt because of my trust, so I couldn't return it to local store where I bought. That will not happen again. Ziploc is no longer my default for storage bags/containers.
"Zipper" Problem. Every bag in box of 32 fails to seal.

We use the Large Ziploc Slider to freeze meats mostly in portions that are large enough for me and my wife. The box I just opened has a quality control issue in that the clear plastic is separating from the blue plastic that holds the white plastic slider. This happened to the first three I removed from the box. Consequently there is no way to seal the bag. I'd be happy to ship them back to SC Johnson if that would help you identify the problem.
