Reliable breadmaker with japanese engineering
Great product, no issues 1.5 years. Wife makes bread, dough, and jams easily. Works better than other products. Japanese engineering stands out.

Disappointing top-of-the-line breadmaker machine
Expensive bread machine disappoints with loud motor, clanking pan, and ruined loaves. No crust control, uneven browning, and difficult removal. Not worth the high price tag.

Great, not Perfect
Makes great white flour based breads, fresh, timer works perfectly for our family. Con's - Wheat based flours are not my favorites, the crust is tough and chewy instead of crunchy or soft like white breads. Says you can make cakes, but it doesn't come out the same as the oven. Chewy outer layer where it bakes in the pan. It is rather large so just prepare a space to store/bake. I have used this for making dough from internet recipes and those turned out well. So if you want to make rolls or pita, you just need to make 2lbs worth so that the kneading is done correctly. Overall, we're a family of four and eat bread everyday. I've stopped buying store bought bread. The cost averages about $1.50/loaf which is amazing (using all organic ingredients). I feel good feeding this to my baby knowing it's fresh and simple ingredients. Because it's fresh, your toast doesn't need tons of butter and sandwiches don't need a lot sauces. I started making loaves as presents or when having dinner at a friend's - it's always a hit. I've turned a few friends on to buying a machine as well.

Great machine with tons of recipes
This machine is great! I love the shape of the loaf it makes, it’s more of a traditional loaf. It also comes with a ton of recipes. The only problem I have is that the arrow doesn’t ever point to jam, so an error on the lcd screen but otherwise it’s exactly what I needed.

A very good bread machine
I love the preheat cycle so you don’t have to remember to bring ingredients to room temperature. It bakes bread wonderfully. I only wish it made more than the one size 2lb loaf. My old bread machine made 1, 11/2, 2 and 21/2 sizes so I will keep it around. Also I have many bread machine cookbooks and the recipes aren’t always for 2lb loaves so I had to find and print out a recipe conversion chart.

The best money can buy!
If you’re looking for a bread machine, this is the best on the market! No need to compare to other brands.

Generally happy, but....
Generally happy, but it doesn't always rise evenly. Liquid levels have to be adjusted using trial and error to find what works, as the recipes provided don't always work. The instruction / recipe book provided is a little confusing, as recipes don't always align with the appropriate category of bread.

A Nice Investment
I am not new to bread makers, but this one outshines the previous ones:makes a loaf of bread look like a loaf of bread! When the bread is complete the paddles don’t always come out and stick to the bread. Give yourself time ALONE to do the process right. Smells and tastes wonderful compared to store bought breads with preservatives. Worth the $$. The DVD that is included is a must see!

This bread maker lives up to its reputation (the “Cadillac” of bread machines). The instructions were clear enough for me to make a successful 1st bread..

The best bread maker I have ever owned.
I really enjoy this bread maker. It comes with a recipe book to get you started, and you can expand your talents and recipes from there. So far I've made Cranberry Walnut bread, Bacon-Cheese-Jalapeno Bread, Basic White, and a delightful Saffron bread with raisin's. Just in time for the Holidays, take the stress off the stove and oven, you will not be disappointed with the array of breads you can make at Thanksgiving, Christmas, Easter or for every day meals to impress your guests. If there were 10 stars, I would give this bread maker 10 stars!

Very good breadmaker
It is very expensive breadmaker, but we decided to purchase one and bought also 3 years target warranty on it. I loved the bread from our breadmaker and kids love to eat it too. The only thing it is took me a while to figure out how to make very nice bread. My advice is this is how I do it. In the baker pan I have salt as in book, 1 Tbl sp of sugar (because we do not like sweat bread, I just use as for yeast to grow) than I have one egg, 2 Tbl so of veget oil and 1 Tbl sp of cream sour. And in the measuring cup 2 cup size I measure 1 1/3 of the cup warm water add one Tbl sp of sugar and yeast, and let it sit for five min for yeast to dissolve in water. After the yeast is dissolved I pour the water with yeast and sugar to the baking pan and mix all together to beat the egg. Then add the flour and close the lid. After one year my breadmaker does not want to work. The electric part was working but the tent was not heating and so it was not baking the bread because the temperature was not raising and sensors did Not start the breadmaker to bake. So Because we bought the warranty and they could not fix it they gave me refund to purchase new one, it took them one month to resolve the problem, but again we bought the same brand breadmaker.

Bad recipes!
I bought this machine in May after my machine of a different manufacturer died from years of use. I struggled at first because my loaves wouldn't mix correctly and didn't rise much, so I switched to to recipes from my old machine and voila...SUCCESS!!! So I analyzed the recipes between the two machines and found that there was a lot more flour and a lot less moisture in the Zojirushi recipes. I adjusted the flour down and the liquid up for each recipe I made and voila...SUCCESS!!! So if you are having issues with dry and/or deformed loaves, add more liquid and less flour to see if that helps! Now my machine makes gorgeous loaves and I am quite happy with the product.

Best Breadmaker -- Worth the Money!
I have the white model, not the black one but basically the 2lb models are the same. I use the Zojirushi to make 2-4 loaves of whole wheat bread every week now for 1 3/4 years and it is still going strong. It has all of the bells and whistles and it can take whole wheat dough without wearing the machine out. One thing though, let the pan cool before soaking it in water so you will not have to eventually purchase a replacement pan. This is the best machine for whole wheat dough and the most versatile besides.

great bread maker
I got this breadmaker for my husband for his birthday. He is not the cook in the family. He easily made 2 loaves of bread that week. No problems with the machine at all. It is easy to use and looks good. The bread was good too.
