fresh step gain

Listings describe Fresh Step Gain litter as combining Gain Original fragrance with Febreze freshness, including “paw-activated” bursts of scent. They also list activated charcoal/carbon as part of the odor-fighting mix.

The formulas use natural clay as the base and list activated charcoal/carbon for odor absorption. Named technologies on listings include Ammonia Block Technology and ClumpLock (or similar) for tight clumping and odor neutralization.

Listings describe the lightweight Gain-scented formula as easier to lift, carry, store, and pour, while still providing the product’s clumping and odor-control features.

Listings describe fast, tight clumping using ClumpLock or similar clumping technology that forms easy-to-scoop clumps. Reviewer summaries similarly note reliable clumping that simplifies scooping.

Some Fresh Step Gain formulations are labeled 'Multi-Cat' or 'Multi-Cat Strength' on listings and are described there as strong enough for multi-cat homes, offering reliable clumping and odor control.

Listings advise starting with an empty, clean litter box and filling to 3–4 inches. Remove clumps and solids daily and dispose of them in the trash (do not flush). Add fresh litter as needed to maintain the 3–4 inch level.

Listings include a toxoplasmosis-related warning recommending handwashing after handling used litter and advising special caution for pregnant or immunosuppressed people. They also caution that the product can become slippery when wet.
