Paperweight varies by set. Many printable card packs are about 210–240 gsm (often listed as 9 mil / 53 lb or 11 mil / 64 lb), and a few stationery sets list around 220 g/m².

Finishes range from matte to glossy. Several printable sets pair either a glossy or matte exterior with a matte interior to keep printed or handwritten text clean and readable.

Pack counts vary widely: small boxed sets often include about 10 cards, common printable packs come in 50 sheets, mid-size sets include around 48 cards, and some bulk packs offer about 144 cards.

Formats include horizontal and vertical half-fold cards with prescored folds. Many sets are blank inside for custom messages, while some are preprinted; printed envelopes commonly accompany boxed sets.

Some sets state they are printed on "FSC®-Mix Certified Paper with soy inks on chlorine-free paper" and note that the product is recyclable.
