peek a zoo

Zoo books are available in paperback, hardcover, and board-book formats.

Interactive features include lift-the-flap elements for peek-a-boo play and die-cut pages that change images as you turn them.

Listings highlight imaginative play that supports vocabulary and language development, introductions to colors and shapes for young children, and nonfiction titles that explain behind-the-scenes zoo work.

Listings show different set sizes — some describe a 60-piece set while others list a 52-piece set — and the figurines are described as measuring about 2–3 inches each.

Titles cover zoo and animal themes and include both juvenile fiction picture books and juvenile nonfiction works that explain animals or zoo operations.

Oversized zoo books are described as dramatically large (for example about 18"×12.6") and typically display dozens of animals per spread—sometimes more than 30—with endmatter notes indexing species.
