pull rake

Pull/tow-behind rakes are offered in several common working widths. Typical sizes in listings include about 49", 50", 60", 66" and 72", depending on the model.

Pull rakes are designed to attach to common hitch systems. Typical options include 2-inch receiver hitches used on ATVs/UTVs and three-point tractor hitches (Category 0/1 and Category 1/3-point configurations, depending on the model).

Many pull rakes use spring-steel or similar tines that are individually replaceable. Worn or bent tines can typically be swapped out rather than replacing the whole unit. Check the model for whether replacement tines are sold individually and for recommended fastening methods (bolts, clips, or sleeves).

Pull rakes and drag harrows are multi-use landscaping tools. Common tasks include collecting pine straw and leaves, dethatching lawns, yard and field cleanup, soil leveling, grading gravel driveways, and preparing seedbeds or pastures.

Design features that improve ground-following include three-point hinges or rotating heads that allow wide movement (up to 360° on some designs), flexible connections or adjustable angles, and flexible/contouring tines that maintain contact over irregular terrain.

Convenience features include individually replaceable tines, collapsible or folding designs for compact storage, powder-coated or rust-resistant finishes to reduce upkeep, and quick-attach systems for easier one-person installation and removal. Check individual listings for tool-free options and spare-tine availability.
