ukulele notes chart

Books commonly include chord charts, tablature (TAB), scale charts, and full fingerboard (fretboard) charts to show note locations and scale patterns on the ukulele.

Ukulele songbooks typically combine melody notation, tablature (TAB), and chord symbols or chord charts. These elements are often paired with lyrics and suggested strum patterns to make songs easy to play along with.

Beginner guides usually reference the common ukulele sizes—soprano, concert, and tenor—and present lessons that apply across those instruments.

Songbooks typically show chord symbols above the lyrics and include chord grids (diagrams) at the top of each page, often with the first melody notes shown for quick reference.

Many books pair printed charts with online resources such as playable audio tracks and instructional videos, letting learners hear and watch parts while following the printed notes and charts.

Easy songbooks typically provide suggested strum patterns alongside melody and chord notation, and include TAB for essential instrumental parts so players can follow rhythm and fingerings together.

Collections for non‑readers use chord symbols and grids, show the first melody notes for quick reference, and present simple melody‑plus‑chord formats so players can strum and sing without needing full music notation.
