  • A: Hi HW, its a great after-shower robe IF you dry off first. The fabric is lightweight, soft and very warm, but not water-absorbent. Terry cotton is the best water-absorbent robe, but because cotton is so pricey these days and terry is such a thick fabric, the cost is typically much higher than fleece and its heavy (not the most comfortable).   • A: Hi Friend, the first wash should clear 90% of any pilling and the remaining amount will be minimized further after each wash. To minimize pilling at the factory level, we push the robe through a heavy-duty vacuum-like machine that pulls off any loose lint. That said until the garment is washed thoroughly there may be a small amount of lint remaining that will pill up and come off in the wash. Fleece is a very fine microfiber, but very strong. It'll hold its structure for years, but any initial pilling you see is from the cut and sew process. Hope that helps!

    Nice but sheds A LOT

    When I first received this robe, I was thrilled. I thought I I’d gotten a bargain for a great looking robe that was comfortable, soft, and of premium quality. However, I quickly found out how much this thing sheds. It’s all over the clothes that I wear under it, it clogs up the dryer vent, it’s stuck to my hair (I have a buzz cut), etc. As as much as I like it when it’s not shedding on me, I could not purchase this again. If you can deal with the shedding, it’s great. This should really be a two star for me due to the amount of shedding, but I’ll keep it as a three because it functions as a robe and it feels comfortable. FYI - This review is based on daily wear for the month that I’ve owned it.

    Nice robe, but NOT tall

    This is a nice robe; soft and warm. But when I buy a tall size, I expect the sleeves to be longer and able to reach the wrists. Unfortunately this wasn’t even close for the guys in my family. It might be ok for a 6 ft, man, but not much taller. Sad I had to return it.

    Quickly returning

    The material is not a nice quality. I had been waiting all week for this to come in, just to be disappointed when i opened it up and felt it. Parts of it were soft, but other areas seemed like almost a slightly matted texture? Which i think would get worse with washing it. The material is also very thin. Only positive thing is, it is large and has a hood. But i just could not stand the texture.

    Husband loved it

    I bought this as a gift for my husband. He really disliked his old robe which felt too short on him. He can’t stop raving about this one and the length. He really likes it. It feels very soft and good quality. Some of the other reviews talk about the sleeves being short, and this is true. So that might be a deal breaker for some people but it doesn’t bother my husband at all.
