I notice and off smell and a too sweet taste not even two days after opening. Has happened with multiple cartons. We dont drink straight from the carton either. It just spoils abnormally fast. I’ve looked online and others have this issue too. Maybe it’s the process they use to fortify the milk. Not a fan

I wanted to love this milk. I loved that it had DHA, choline, and prebiotics. However, there seems to be a serious issue with either quality control or transport. I bought four half gallons from two different stores (target and a grocery store) over a two week period. All were spoiled. I’m glad that I noticed my child was rejecting it and decided to smell and taste it. I know milk with DHA tastes and smells different. This milk was SPOILED. Also, for anyone with a kid with a ragweed allergy or eczema, think twice before you give them milk with chicory root (prebiotic in this milk). There is documented cross reactivity between ragweed and chicory root. As soon as I discontinued this milk, my toddler’s eczema cleared up within days.

We've enjoyed Horizon as a brand and I love the extra vitamins in this milk. However, our local Target's stock always seems to be near expiring. I even once saw cartons that were a few weeks past the sell by date on the shelves. Check the date carefully and don't use curbside pickup for this item.

This milk is always available and when we were out of our just organic horizon milk for my 1 year old my husband grabbed this. It made her violently sick and she threw up multiple times. I would not recommend and think the extra stuff in this milk is not helpful for small children.
