I do not recommend this product
These bulbs seem to last just over the one year mark when the 12-month warranty has expired. I replaced my bulb last in December 2024 and I also wore rubber gloves to ensure no skin to glass contact. This is a name brand product and would think they would last longer. Very disappointing but the only brand that will fit my car in the area I live.

Lasted 13 months
Lasted 13 months in my Goldwing, 8000 miles. Had someone tell me that they weren't bright enough to be seen by other drivers.

I love the performance of these bulbs but....
I've had at four failed bulbs in a car that I've only had two years. I bought a pair for when I took possession of the car. One burned out after a few months and I replaced it, then the other burned as well and I replaced that one. I called Sylvania and they said they would send me a new set, but I need the original receipts. I spent some time going back to the store for printed receipts and. they set me a set. One of these burned out then the other. I've had this problem for years and on a few different vehicles. You've been warned.

Every six months!
Unfortunately, I have four of these on my BMW and many times they do not last longer than six months. I am lucky if I get more than a year or more out of them and they are expensive. I always wear gloves when handling them and try not to touch the glass at all. This is one time my BMW helps me out because it notifies me whenever a lamp goes out.

Absolutely love these bulbs and have been buying since 2007
All of the complaints, did you guys handle these bulbs with your bare hands? Oil from your hands will make halogen bulbs burn out considerably sooner than their expected lifespan! Never touch the bulb!

Don't waste your money
I bought these for the low beam headlights of my 2016 Kia Cadenza - didn't notice a difference (passengers ask if my headlights are on?!) and was not worth the money. Like others, they didn't last a year. Find something else...

Don't Last Long.
I have bought 4 of these within 2 years. They are bright, but just don't last. Sylvania has been making bulbs how long now??? I'm 60 y.o., and they were around long before I came to this planet. Why they can't build a longer lasting bulb is beyond me. Could it be planned obsolescence? ? ? Looking for another mfg.

Doubt I would buy again
I would really have to think about it before buying these again. I purchased in Dec 2022 and already have to replace one of them. That's bad for business and these are aggravating to replace. They are much brighter than the OE but they sure don't last long.

Did not last 12 months before burnout
Brighter than my first but did not last longer before burning out. Salesman recommended bulbs as the best in the store but they didn't hold on the name. Easy installation for the most part and good price.

These bulbs don't last a year.
I purchased these for my Mercedes-Benz E350. There was an improvement in visibility but they didn't last a year! Like other reviews here. These are difficult to replace, especially on the driver's side, the wheel and fender liner has to be removed to access the low-beam bulb. I read at the bottom of this page that they are only rated for 85 hours! The low beams are on whenever the car is on, day and night. Like other manufacturers, this is for safety, but not too safe if they burn out prematurely! Save your money and buy standard bulbs instead.

honestly, zero difference in brightness for our car
had hoped these expensive bulbs would make a difference in brightness for our 2013 Hyundai Sonata, but did not at all. would return them if possible and spend less on other bulbs; not worth-what-paid

Fantastic
Bought these for my 2014 Ford Focus. I had previously bought the SilverStar, and I was not impressed with their brightness and range. I put these in after returning those, and the color difference was not very large, but noticeable. However, my first night driving home from work with these lights was night and day! Literally! They were fantastically bright, they shine probably about 60 feet down the road, and signs light up from super far away. I drive on high speed backroads, so these are a great upgrade. I find that I don't even need my high beams anymore to see. They were tricky to install, but I believe that to be my car's fault. If you have issues installing these bulbs, try putting the bulb in the headlight assembly first, and then put the socket on. But anyways, these have great color and brightness, and if you look at the headlights at level, you can even see the blue tint. It's a shame they will only last 85 hours, but I think the trade-off for safety is worth it.

I would definitely buy again
I use these on my motorcycle, one of the lenses on my headlights is broken as well and the bulb has held up against moisture and dust. Most of the people who are saying these burned out in 6 to 7 months, probably didn't use gloves or a rag when installing them, and it clearly states in the instructions "not to touch the bulb with your bare hands". The oils from your fingers transfers to the glass. A simple Google search will explain further into detail about how oils from your fingers effect headlight bulbs.

Very bright but very short life
I replaced both original factory lights on my 2015 car in November 2021. The ultra halogens both burnt out after only 9 months within a week of each other. I was careful to install correctly and not to contaminate the glass. Rated a generous two stars because they are very bright.

Didn't even last 6 months.
I purchased a 2 pack of the Silverstar Ultra bulbs on 10/30/2021. They both both burned out within 1 week of each other, didn't even make it 6 months. I have uploaded my receipt for reference.

Disappointing
These were the first headlights I ever bought, they were recommended to me by the guy at the auto parts store because of their reliability. Boy was I disappointed. One of them burnt out in about 7 months... What I will say is that they were very bright and allowed me to drive safely and avoid countless animals during night time drives.
