It's ok. I hate drawstring waistlines but this has one and like too many, it rides on my ribs instead of at my waistline. Why don't you just tuck it in a little at the waist instead of using a drawstring? I wore it for the first time this evening and was cold even though the temp was 38. First off, this is an INCREDIBLY nice coat. I like how heavy and substantial it is, I can tell it is warm and waterproof and sturdy. I wanted something that would still look nice for going out occasions in New England winters and this coat looks great. I ALMOST didn't buy because I hated the huge shoulder patch but guess what, it doesn't have one!!! I got the black coat, comes with grey fur hood, has drawstrings at waist and hood, super soft fleece lined pockets, tag says the real feather down is ethically and sustainably sourced. It's a winner!!! I'm 5'4 bought the XL and it fits nicely over thick sweatshirt and pants, hits at my upper mid-thigh, below my butt. I am a size 16, around 210lbs, roughly 42C bust, 36 inch waist and 48 hip. The half off for Black Friday makes this a steal.

Love my green coat. Would love it in white or Ivory too.

I haven’t worn it out yet so I will update when that happens. Until then I am someone who really pays attention to reviews so I wanted to throw another out there for anyone in my size range. I am about 200lbs now, 5’1, 36H/38G, 35ish inch waist, and around 43”-45” hips. My arms and legs are short and my torso is longer/regular. I purchased a large petite. I tried it on and the arms are perfect (if I can find a tape to measure my arm length I’ll add in the update). It fits slightly more snug on my hips and chest but by no means tight, there is still a ball of space. I moved my arms for wards and back, bent every way, and did some twists and I had a good range of motion. I think if I wore something thicker like a quality sweatshirt it might be a little tighter/ less range of motion in specifically the chest/shoulder area. Personally I like to wear coats without sweatshirts because I over heat in my middle and I’m colder in my limbs. The coat feels so far plenty warm on its own anyways ( I live in New Hampshire for reference).

Love this coat! I am replacing an older Eddie Bauer version, but this one is so much better than the EB current version. Please know it runs big. The medium fits me perfectly, while in Eddie Bauer, Columbia, and Helly Hanson I needed a large. Those all went back and I kept this parka! I love the hand warmer pockets, the drawstring waist, and the burgundy spritz color (which is more of a brick red…perfect).

Just received mine and love it! Going to Sweden snowshoeing early February and I am confident I will be warm and dry!

It's quite heavy and I can only assume it would keep me warm. I had trouble with the inner drawstrings. I wanted to maximize them to give the coat a bit of shape in the waist. It got to a point where the inner drawstring would not pull out anymore. When you move around in the coat it is creaky and noisy. Squeaky even. I'm going to return it. I bought this in a tall size and the sleeves are still not long enough. I need another 1 or 2 inches.

The temp rating for the jacket is: TEMPERATURE RATING – WARMEST: -3° to +25° Fahrenheit - this is simply not the case - i wore this jacket in upper 30's and lower 40's and i was cold - i felt the cold coming thru on the upper arms and the back - super disappointed - i had two friends give it a try and they also were cold and felt it in the same spots -

Awesome parka! Adjustable and all! But the hood though! I live in Alaska and we need a hood that actually covers our heads and blocks blowing snow! It needs to be able to hold our heads with a hat! I am so disappointed in that that it cost you TWO stars!

I have the older version of this coat from like 5 years ago. Love it. It’s still going strong but I wanted an update. This one is great I feel like it’s warmer with the added Sherpa elements. But it doesn’t have as much shaping at the waist which I don’t like and it looks cheaper. Like the zippers and such. Overall I love this coat so I’ll continue to buy. But I wish the old style was still around. I also got a large and I’m 5’2 170 pounds o probably could have gotten away with a M. The large is a tad bit but will be good for layering.

I literally bought this about 2 months ago and love it. I wish Lands' End would make this into a VEST as well! It's stylish and warm. I live in the NYC area and this makes walking my dog in the freezing temps easier. Need to order him the doggie version as well!

I purchased this coat about a month ago. With below 0 temps, I have been warm as toast in my new coat. The workmanship is beautiful.

Perfect coat for the cold! Lots of pockets, fits perfectly with room for sweater underneath (I bought small and I’m 5’3, 118 lbs) Extremely happy with this purchase!

I got this coat in a tall in the light periwinkle, and I've had a few compliments. It's fairly warm when it's really cold outside. But I still need two layer it. I'm in the Northeast and it gets bitter and windy here. My only complaints are, that it is very straight cut, and it doesn't give you a lot of hip room. The other issue is the coat farts! Yes, I said it farts! Every time I wear it and I go to sit down, whether it's in my car or the embarrassing fact that I sat down in the doctor's office in the waiting room and the coat farted again. And the looks you get when someone thinks you're passing gas is embarrassing. It seems to build up pockets of air in the back where the down is. So when you sit, the air is escaping quickly and it lets out a rip!

I ordered this jacket in a 2x. I am 5-10, 270lbs. The body of the jacket is HUGE, way too big even with a thick sweater underneath. The sleeves are VERY short and the shoulders tight. The hood is also exceptionally small. It barely comes to my face and the point of fur is to keep the snow out of your face. I can't wear a tight-fitting beanie underneath the hood. It's got great features and lots of pockets and seems to be warm and I like the cinchable waist feature. The green color is really pretty.

I bought this coat for occasional really cold Texas weather. And while, a great coat and perfect for what I needed it for, I ended up trading out the cheap fur around the hood for a better quality one. This was at my expense, but it looks much better.

I love the fit of this coat and now very snug it feels when I wear it. I get so many compliments on how it looks as well. Soft lining in the pockets is a perk.
