This item was not created for the dog owner in mind. This blanket can’t go in the dryer and I own other waterproof items that can on low heat and still keep its integrity. So simply washing it makes it shed and puts fuzz and lint all over it that doesn’t come off without lint rolling or pecking at it. Once air dried lint and hair is attracted to it like no other and can’t be easily brushed or shaken off. Normally I wouldn’t mind bc I would just toss it in the wash, but now we come back to the air drying portion of my unhappiness. It’s just very inconvenient and unsightly looking. I will say that it is very soft and cozy. I haven’t had to test the waterproofing yet. For my purposes, my bed and couch, this doesn’t fit the bill due to the linty eye sore it can be.
