Pullchain didn't last 6 mos. Known failure.
bought two of these - pull chains are defective across all lamps in this line. Read reviews on other sites for this make/model floor lamp. These chains cannot be repaired/replaced. Failure junks the unit.

Classy
I had been wrestling with a rather tinny item bought umpteen years ago, which kept on giving up the ghost for some loose connection reason I could never figure out. Finally, it refused to light again, and I skimmed through the selection, ending with this. I was so pleased, as it is even nicer looking in person than on the screen, with a really good expensive feeling heft, and provides perfect lighting for my reading needs.

Because of changes in Vision due to aging my Retinologist said I need. Very bright light for reading. This lamp not only exceeded my expectations it has made reading a pleasure again. It is elegant in design. I am very pleased with this lamp. Claire McCarthy

Pull chain broke
Lamp only about 2-3 years old. Pull chain became extremely difficult to pull to turn light on and off. Finally broke off completely. No way to repair. This lamp looks nice but is of poor quality. I would not purchase again. Used by two retired adults.

Yes, I would recommend this product. I use it next to my bed as a reading lamp. I can move to shade to shine on or away from my book. I would have given it 5 stars if it worked as a three way lamp.
