Q: Hello! There are mixed reviews as to whether water rings are an issue on the table. I don’t want a high maintenance table. Thanks!

  • A: Hello, Thank you for your comment. Our tables are not waterproof but are tested to withstand normal everyday use. However, we recommend using coasters and/or placemats regularly, as any length of time the table is exposed to sitting liquids can damage the finish.

Don’t buy if you have children

IF YOU HAVE KIDS!! Do not buy. Unfortunately this table has so many ridges it’s hard to keep the surface clean. It’s not a solid surface but tiny tiny ridges that you literally have to clean with a toothbrush if food particles, crayons etc get on the table. I hit the corner of it with the vacuum not hard at all and it chipped not real happy with the quality of the table itself. The table is very soft and doesn’t feel solid. The chairs however are amazing quality! Chairs are very sturdy and easy to clean which I love! Just wish the table lived up to my expectations. :(

Product looks great and came in relatively quick. Only complaint is that one of the chairs is not sturdy compared to the rest. It is wobbly straight out of the box.

Absolutely beautiful!! We love this set in our dining room for its upscale look with daily use durability. The chairs wipe down easily which was the biggest draw for us with little kids. We get so many compliments.

My Dining Set is Beautiful, But. . .

This is beautiful furniture made from solid wood, which I like very much. I do not like that the top of my table is made of three separate pieces pushed together because crumbs gather in the cracks between the wood. Also, the chairs are unique and heavy, but the design is terrible. The angle of the chair legs makes them prone to loosening upon daily use, even by a child. My boyfriend had to add brackets to each of the rear chair legs of my set, 6 chairs, so 12 brackets to hold them tight and prevent loosening. Plank & Beam definitely needs to change the design of these chairs as they are not functional without manual reinforcement at home. Five stars on looks, one star on engineering.
