Disappointed but keeping

I purchased this table because it was advertised as solid wood. While it may be wood, I was disappointed in the look and feel. The finish has a plastic appearance and a piece on the side split during assembly. Also, darker than I had hoped. I am keeping because I did get it on sale and quite a hassle to ship back I assume. I really wanted to like this table.

WE LOVE OUR P&B TABLE!

We bought the 94"" Pecan Wirebrush table as our Christmas gift and we LOVE it!! The color compliments our dining room beautifully. I was a little concerned about the wirebrush effect and how that would feel while dining, but it creates no issue at all. If you are planning to sit at the table and write, you will definitely need to place something under your paper due to the ridges in the table. I plan on ordering another Plank and Beam table (round) for an area in my living room to put puzzles together and play games on. We did purchase our chairs somewhere else because I waited too long to order and Plank and Beam could not guarantee that I would get them before Christmas Eve. That's on me, not them. (However, I do love all the spindles on these chairs)

Damaged and difficult to assemble

The item arrived late and damaged (damaged edge, corner, and deep divet in the middle), but we decided to live with it for a few years because it's a monstrosity to pack up and ship back. It's also very difficult to put together. The screws are too short and will not screw in if you use both the lock washer and flat washer as instructed. The color is beautiful. We will never buy from Plank & Beam again.

MUCH lower quality than described. It’s already kind of falling apart. It’s NOT actually solid wood - it’s a bunch of small wood pieces glued together. We are very disappointed.

Hardware issues

The table is fine but all the hardware was missing. Then after ordering and waiting a week, new hardware arrived but it was an incomplete set so I had to wait again. Finally after receiving all the hardware some pieces seemed to not fit as instructed. All of the other furniture I ordered was fine (some were missing full instructions) but the table left me questioning my purchase.

A+ customer service, C+ quality

The table is definitely not solid wood like advertised. It looks nice though. It arrived with one dent. Customer service agreed to send just one replacement part for the dented piece, rather than us having to send anything back, which was a nice easy solution. When I brought up the issue of the table not being solid wood to them in two separate emails, that issue was ignored, they did not deny or or admit it.

Fantastic Dinning Room Furniture

Simple and stylish.

I bought a table and 6 chairs. Love the look but the table came with a huge ding and so did one of the chairs. Both are very noticeable and it’s so heavy and time consuming to return, I just have to keep it. The company did refund a percentage for the defects.
