The “New” skil, getting there. This is a great little sander with variable speed. The hook and loop holds very well and keeps the disc in place. It can speed through removing material or go easy for delicate work. It is heavy and a bit bulky with the huge battery but pretty smooth and you don’t have to fight it which is a big plus as it keeps the vibration low. You have to keep the blower pointing away from you to not eat the dust that it blows lol. Now where it needs work, the dust collection works very well but the container needs work. It’s a pinch system to remove container to dump. Two big issues, first the dust blows directly to this area and compacts the dust making it difficult to remove. Second the pinch points are very hard plastic and difficult to press to remove. Had to use chain o locks to get off! This will be a continuous issue between the dust build up and the riding plastic. The container would work much better if it were a screw on/off container. It would solve both issues. Next is the huge noisy chargers lol. I was surprised at how loud they are but not a huge issue but the size will be an issue if you buy a lot of tools, they are at least twice the size of Dewalt chargers of the same 20 system. Overall they are moving in the right direction with stronger more well made tools but have a few bugs to workout to get further up the tool chain. Hopefully user input is reflected in future models. If so please send me a better dust container as I’m sure mine will be broken due to extremely riding pinch point container.

Great battery life. It has the power to do whatever you want it to do. Very happy with the dust collector and overall performance. Highly recommend
