My entertainment table looks great
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My entertainment table looks great with our color scheme and theme for the house. The pecan is a darker finish than I thought, but it blends well with the other furniture. Quality is great, except for 1 door doesn't magnetically latch closed. Overall, it's a great, sturdy, quality piece of craftsmanship.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like the look, but there were a couple of issues as I assembled it. One of the screw holes wasn’t aligned properly. Not that big a deal. The bigger problem is that one of the doors is a quarter inch too wide and doesn’t fit. I’ll have to sand it down or it won’t close.

We placed a large order
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We placed a large order with Plank & Beam to refurnish our entire home, and every single piece arrived damaged. The boxes weren’t badly damaged, so it’s clear this happened before shipping — which is completely unacceptable. Dealing with customer service has been nothing but a disaster. Responses are slow, unhelpful, and there’s been no real accountability for the poor quality or the inconvenience this has caused. We’ve spent so much time documenting the damage and following up, only to feel ignored. Save yourself the stress — the quality control and customer service at Plank & Beam are truly disappointing.

Love it!! Its a well made TV/Media console. It had clear instructions and all parts were separated out and labeled. Very nicely done! It was fairly easy to put together- taking about 1. 5 hours (2 of us). We loved it so much, we have just ordered a bed and nightstand!

Disappointed this time. . Took excessive time due to poor instructions.
We found the instructions quite obscure and the parts poorly labeled. Vertical parts 08 and 15 would be much improved by having up and down arrows and an illustration as to which side the assembler is positioned. We paid a helper to assist in the initial assembly. Parts 08 and 15 were reversed and wrongly oriented. The whole thing had to be taken apart and reassembled! Also a threaded inserts designed to receive a machine bolt lacked threads. , Disappointed this time. Final result ok.

Disappointed
The look is good. However, the instruction is unclear, so many things could go wrong (like the right side of the piece installed and can NOT be fixed). There are also some imperfect details. The small metal magnet is not aligned with the edge of the door which makes the push-to-open feature not working at all for the right side door.

Disappointed in Quality and Craftsmanship
I was expecting something that seemed more like solid wood - this seems to be much lower quality in my opinion. The holes don't seem to be drilled in the right spots for the metal brackets (I don't understand why these are gold vs black where you can see them), one of the doors isn't connecting to the magnet and is rubbing against the wood instead due to incorrectly drilled holes, and the top isn't very thick - so I can see some screw pops from where the screws went too deep plus there are scratches. Not impressed for the price paid. We have a different but similarly priced black sideboard in a different location in our home that, in my opinion, is of much higher quality. Very disappointed as I was very excited for this piece as I hadn't found much else that would work in our space. I was able to put it together - and now am trying to figure out if we keep it for a few years (and try to manually fix some of the issues to make it work at least) and then replace as it's already together or return it have wasted all of the time of putting it together and then taking it apart.

Looks good but poor quality
I love the look of this side board and while it is made of solid wood you should know it's actually pine that appears to be sprayed with a dark finish that looks like walnut! Also, one of the magnetic door latches is recessed too far back and does not operate properly and I needed to repair an insert in one of the support legs before I could assemble the unit. It seems I got a lemon but it is too much hassle to send back.
