I couldn’t be happier with the Thule Subterra 2 carry-on suitcase—it’s easily one of the best travel investments I’ve made. The Subterranean 2 carryon is a perfect bag for running through airports. The wheels are amazingly smooth, the handle adjust effortlessly on the fly and the zippers still closed on an overstuffed bag. The back is solid on the back and the front is like a semi hard shell, giving just enough flex to overstuff but solid in structure. The inside has a nice mesh zipper area and great tie downs on the open side. Comes with a divider bag which is vey useful. Totally worth the money!

Wheels are terrible. Tips endlessly even on tile floors. On carpet it’s unmanageable. Good size, good organization but the reason you buy a spinner bag is to roll it. The Subterranean fails in this regard. This is my second Thule where the wheels were a problem.

For anyone who travels frequently and needs a good size option for carry-on, this bag is awesome. I want to point out how SMOOTHLY the wheels roll on this bag, and since it's a 4-wheeler it can roll upright or leaned. Smooth like 'buttah.' The internal size is adequate for a few days of travel and is spacious. The grab handles surrounding the bag make it easy to get at no matter how it had to get tucked into the overhead. Hopefully if you're lucky and the airlines don't force you to gate check, you'll be able to see how easily it is to lift and fit into the overhead due to it's design. The height of the handles may be a little low if you're taller than 6'3", but let's be honest if you're that tall then any luggage will feel small. The zippers open smoothly and easily, but feel sturdy enough to handle a beating. I've had 4 different Thule bags - backpacks and duffel, and I'd say their fabrics are incredibly durable. They show very little wear and tear over time with no pilling. The smooth fabric also prevents much water from beading up on them, but keep in mind it IS NOT waterproof. You definitely pay for the quality and design on these bags, but coming from someone who's had many other quality pieces from high end luggage, this is a great step up for someone looking for less clutter and cleaner look, but not sacrifice the durability and comfort. Thule for the win.

I absolutely love Thule products, I love the brand, but this product disappointed me a bit so I returned it. The main reason was the zipper - the product is really well made (as usual), but I believe there is a design flaw. The weight of the material on the zipper caused the zipper to skip and catch when opening and closing.

I loved Thule. I have total 7 Thule bags. Last, I purchased Subterra 2. Last March, I bought Aion 40L. Few months later, I discovered ripped.

For my Japan trip, I bought this Thule SUBTERRA 2 CARRY ON SPINNER VETIVER GRAY and Thule SUBTERRA 2 CONVERTIBLE CARRY ON VETIVER GRY from the Vancouver store. I went on 3-week trip to Japan. The luggage design is great and well-thought-out inside, but Thule decided to put in the worst luggage wheel in this carry-on, the wheel is super noisy even on smooth surfaces I have a recording of the top piece " Thule SUBTERRA 2 CONVERTIBLE CARRY ON VETIVER GRAY" when I put on top of the carry on will tip the whole carry on over due to poor weight distribution. It does not happen when I put it on another brand carry-on. Thule should change the wheel to hinomoto miraclent or silent run wheel then this carry can be a 5 star rating for now it stays as 1 star.

I wish that had gotten two for that price. Great product. Let me know if you could sale me another for the same price.
