Journee Women's Sonny Knee High Casual Boots, Cognac 11

I had high hopes for these boots, but the height was a letdown. They’re listed as “knee-high,” yet on me (I’m 5’7”) they hit mid- to (maybe) upper- calf. They’d honestly need another three + inches to be considered knee high boots and that mislabeling is frustrating. That said, there are things I like. The back gusset has a lot of stretch which makes them easy to wear with bare legs and a dress, or jeans, leggings or tights. The side buckles also allow for some adjustment which is great if your legs can fluctuate in size. Sizing wise, I’m usually between an 8 1/2 and 9. I ordered the nine and they feel snug on my foot — I’d recommend ordering on the larger end of your size range. I also noticed my feet and legs got pretty sweaty so breatheability isn’t great. Overall, these could’ve been a solid option but the inaccurate knee-high description really knocked the rating down for me. If you’re looking for a calf boot with stretch, they may work just don’t expect them to reach your knee.
