[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently installed the medora cabinet pull backplate from amerock, and it made a noticeable difference in the overall look of my cabinets. The golden champagne finish is beautiful-subtle but elegant-and it pairs really well with both modern and classic styles. The material feel sturdy and well-made,not flimsy at all. It adds extra support to the cabinet pulls, which makes everything feel more secure and durable over time. Installation was straightforward and lined up perfectly with my existing hardware, which saved me a lot effort.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a very heavy duty thick backplate! It does look and feel like very good quality. Its profile is more pronounced, and has very crisp, straight edges, and therefore it’s a much more modern look. The gold has a hint of a bronzey tone to it, so it’s a golden color that leans ever so slightly towards bronze, a less warm option compared to other choices this brand has. I really like this backplate overall, my main dislike is the cut out rectangle in the center. My mind can only think of disadvantages for choosing a backplate with a center hole. Like cleaning…. Or catching your nails and maybe continuing to gash the cabinets inside that hole too, which defeats the purpose of pull plates if you still damage your cabinets more every day. When comparing this backplate to another I received to sample, I really like this traditional gold bronze leaning color. I really like its clean rectangular shape. But I don’t think I could chose to buy an entire set of this one because of that hole. As a mom… the cleaning issues aren’t something I want to deal with when choosing a plate with a center hole. The company did not provide me with a set of these so they cold be installed into my home, so I could better speak to a complete installation, and the longevity, and overall installed decor value once everything was put together. They only provided me with 1 plate to sample, and that’s not a complete set for installation. So I can review and speak only to the sample I received. If the company would like to provide me with a complete set for installation, to my liking, I would install the set and entirely review those additional aspects at that time. I think this is a great backplate option for your pulls if you don’t mind the center hole. And if you are seeking a more bronze leaning gold tone. Also a more modern aesthetic with the chunky rectangular shape, with harsh thick edges. I could see this looking exceptionally nice with a shaker cabinet!!! Chef’s kiss**!
