This thing really surprised me. It took a couple of cycles for it to kick in, but once it got the cycle down, it produces a good amount of ice, and it keeps fairly well while it's being used. I've only used it a couple of times, so I can't report on how well the cleaning cycle is, but I don't think it'll be a problem. It's definitely a little wonder!

I use this ice maker multiple times a week and it works great. I usually make a batch and then put it in a large freezer safe plastic storage bin for later use - just make sure to stir the ice when putting a new batch in so it doesn't stick together. But it also makes ice quickly, so you can make it as needed too. I got one for my mother in law who has difficulty getting around and she loves it.

It is just as described. I looked at so many reviews of this and other ones. You need to empty the ice out of it every few cycles. Keep in mind this is not a freezer really. it doesnt make it to keep the ice frozen. First I put the bin full of ice in a bowl and once fully dry, put it in the big ice bin breaking apart anything that froze together. I use alot of ice and made dang near a weeks worth in a day. Also it is pretty quiet just a hum like a desk top computer fan running.

Makes ice in less than ten minutes and lightweight. It also doesn’t take up much room and has a handle so I can take it to the cabin. If you enjoy eating ice you won’t break your teeth. I’ve only had it for a few months.
