I purchased this product about 4 years ago. Earlier this year the bolts that hold the plastic slits started popping out (within 6 month 10 of them have popped out). It appears that the metal frame where the bolt should go into the nut, just has a hole .. which rusted over time and no longer hold the bolt. You need two people to put it together; there are a couple of screws that are complicated to work with. We live in Miami, FL, and this is the rainy season. One thing that we noticed, when converting into tables, was rust water coming from inside, even though no rust was visible from outside.

I purchased two of these bench over the past 8. Years for myself and 3 more for my children. They are very durable both in the steel frame and seating boa do. Really nice to make both into a table and move them together for a larger serving table.

Lifetime products don't last. We thought it would last more than just a few years before the slats started to break. We had to replace half the bench slates within 3 years and now that the rest are failing after year 5, Lifetime won't send replacement slats. Very disappointing. A

So close to being great, but ended up being awful due to short screws.

Why did they make the screws so short? I would give it 5* if they simply made the screws 1/8" longer because that's all it would have taken to allow the customer to re attach the slats that come apart for literally everyone. Now I'm stuck with this useless item too bulky to throw away. Of course it was fine right to until the warranty expired. Amazing how they time it to fail so precisely. Oh well. Live and learn.

Completely falling apart after a few years. Pieces from the slats are breaking. Warranty only two years, we have to pay ourselves for replacing slats …disappointed in the product. Expected it to last longer.
