I have a number of Hunter Fans (true originals) that are approaching 50 years old, and are operating perfectly. When I needed to add an additional fan to the 6 already in place, I would not consider anything other than the new "original" model, in the 4 blade configuration. It was installed professionally yesterday, and looks and performs at the same incomparable level as my other fans. It is the only choice for applications where appearance, air movement, and longevity are important.

I have a 1980 hunter original and it runs super well although it is an outdated model I still love it

I love the hunter original as a vintage fan collector but I wish it was compatible with a school house globe

This is the quietest fan on the market. The only cosmetic issue is that it is mounted on a sloped ceiling and the cover at the top of the downrod does not tilt. There is a gap on the high side.

I have installed tons of these of all ages over the years and I stand by them. As far as quality and performance both go, they are some of the best of the best. They are not the cheapest product, but are a "buy once, cry once" type of deal. The Original is always my first suggestion whenever anybody is looking for a high-quality and high-performance ceiling fan for either a household or commercial setting. There is a noticeable quality and airflow difference compared to basically all hardware store brand or cheaper fans, even the massive ones with many blades that are in style nowadays. As for the Matte Silver Original, I suggest pairing it with the 99387 light kit, and you can get the same light kit in the other Original colors for a more contemporary look than the classic globe design.

I have a Hunter Original Fan that is > 25 years old. It is the finest fan and continues to run 24/7 for the last 23 years. There is nothing like the Original Fan. There is nothing like this fan.

The Original is an excellent fan. It is silent, does not wobble and circulates air well.

I have 7 of these fans. Two in a covered patio and 5 in my house. They have been used every day for 29 years. One failed and was reply under warranty. They are good looking, efficient, and built solidly.

Nice looking! Heavy as heck though. Took quite a while to balance the blades.

These fans are super-solid. If you have a hard to reach, high place that you only want to go once(20 feet off the ground) - I recommend this fan - because you will only install it once and never have to replace it. One word of warning, I have only seen one of these fans wobble and I have installed about 6 of them - if you buy more than one and are using 4 blades....don't use the 5th blade from one fan on another fan. I did this, and the fan wobbled. I was perplexed. I found the blade in question(they are numbered by lot with small stickers) and replaced it with one from the same lot and--- "viola" the wobble disappeared.

After replacing two previous fans I installed this Hunter Original so it would be the last fan I have to replace.
