It does take up a bit of room, but isn't that the point. I do wish the back of the chair would allow you to lean back more. but honestly for the price its a good deal. I think its comfortable and my dogs love being able to be right next to me while I work. I love being able to move the foot stool around for my comfort. Overall I would buy or recommend this chair.
