  • A: Hello, The distance from the top of the slats to the bottom of the headboard is around 7.5". This bed is not compatible with an adjustable base, It is designed for the mattress to be placed directly on the slats of the bed frame. The height of the bed frame side rails is 6". Easy to put together as long as you have a second person to help hold things in place. We had been looking for the right “adult” canopy bed and this one was perfect and on sale for a decent price. Amazing buy if you dont want to spend thousands on a bedframe. Absolutely gorgeous!

Just a gorgeous bed. It gives your room an enviable elegance. It was easy to install. I added felt pads on the wooden legs so my wooden floor wouldn’t get scratched if i needed to move it or that it wouldn’t leave a dent on the floor.
