Banquet Frozen Salisbury Steak Meal - 11.88oz

My goto for a quick lunch for my hubby. He loves the flavor of the Salisbury steak and the gravy. It’s simple to cook in the microwave but is pretty nutritious with plenty of protein and veggies. It’s a nice portion and simple packaging. We love it

Steak is yummy texture wise and seasoning wise. Mashed potatoes are a blob of grossness as well as the corn being hard. Also apple dessert is extremely lacking, i only had 5 small slivers in mine, rest of it was liquid. buy from a different brand

I bought 3 of these recently and have eaten them but in all 3 the Apple dessert portion was not filled ! Thus no dessert …. Please check the production of these to insure the Apple dessert which is always very good !! Thx !

I use to love these 🥺As a disabled woman these are the easiest to fix.But anymore they put in smaller amounts and the apple desert is more juice then anything.If you want folks to enjoy these dinners fill them up and quit being cheap because some of us can't afford much.Hopefully changes will lead to each little area of tray is more then half.Thanks.

They just are not the same as before. Does not need the apple dessert. Whenever it's heated up the mash and gravy just turns into a gluey slop. Once I heat the meal up, honestly I scoop out the apples and toss them in the bin. Just needs mash, corn, the steaks and gravy all in separate compartments. Doesn't taste the same...

This TV dinner was surprisingly decent for a frozen option. The steak itself had a soft texture but it was a bit rubbery when I bit into it. The gravy was very flavorful which made the meal more enjoyable. The mashed potatoes were a little watery, though they had a good flavor and tasted like instant potatoes (which I personally enjoy). The corn was a bit sweet for my personal preference, I almost wish they included creamed corn in its place. The apple desert was delicious, but it was pretty much just apple pie filling. I would recommend adding graham cracker crumbles if you want more texture. It heated evenly in the microwave and was very easy to prepare with minimal stirring. There was no noticeable aftertaste. Overall, it’s not amazing but it works well in a pinch if you need something quick. However, it’s not super filling so if you want a full meal you’d be better off going through a drive-thru.

kids love it and it’s quick and easy to just pop it in the microwave. great portion for kids as well as adults. brings back memories from when i was kid

I had high hopes for this frozen dinner. I remember I used to get Banquet meals and they were good. I bought this salisbury steak dinner and was beyond disappointed. The "mashed potatoes" weren't mashed potatoes at all. It was some kind of whitish soupy goo beneath the piece of meat. Mashed potatoes do not look like soupy goo. EVER. A tiny spoonful of corn. I will say the apples were good. Why were these so-called mashed potatoes not in a compartment separate from the meat and gravy? If I could leave Zero stars for this, I would. Never never again will I purchase from this company.

I used to enjoy the Salisbury steak ,mashed potatoes,gravy,with corn and apples,but over the years the quality has gone to just about zero,Mashed potatoes used to be where they are now but not mixed with the gravy,and juice from the meat,now it's just one big mess,and that ruins what used to be a pretty good flavor. Purchased 3 meals, each meal had the smallest helping of corn, maybe 1/10th of an ear of corns worth. The "desert," is literally 1 spoonful or 3 small slices of apple, that shouldn't even be considered part of the meal when you get less than 1/6th of the portion cups worth. Currently in the process of looking into deceptive advertising of this product.

I love these meals anytime I think of a TV dinner I think of this meal it’s so nostalgic for me and honestly, it does taste really good. I find myself craving the taste of a banquet Salisbury steak dinner I sincerely hope this never goes out of style.

It used to be good now it’s gross the potatoes in with the steak is disgusting you can’t even see any potatoes it just turns into thick gravy. Not appetizing at all!! Put the potatoes back in their own section!! You get very little apples and corn any more. I will not be buying anything from this company any more!! Change back to how it used to be!!

This is my favorite meal but I’ve noticed the price has increased a lot while the portions have decreased a lot. It seems like the mashed potatoes are less than a fourth of a cup and the corn is about 2 tablespoons. I am very disappointed. I have photos.

Pretty awful. I guess the Salisbury steak itself was...fine, but you can't even call what was with it potatoes. It was almost like dried spuds just floating in the gravy instead of any actual mashed potatoes. There was like not even two tablespoons worth of corn, and they cheaped out so much on the apple that there wasn't even a QUARTER of a normal sized apple.

Mashed potatoes are basically water no substance at all. I have eaten these meals for years. They have gotten worse. Salisbury and meat loaf both.

I bought 3 of the Salisbury Steak meals because it's all my husband will eat. The last one was a horrible experience, what was supposed to be mashed potatoes was a liquid mess, I thought maybe the corn water or apple dessert got mixed with the potatoes and tossed that part. I made one for him today and took out the corn and dessert and it still cooked up like an ugly sauce, I took out the meat and cooked the "potatoes" longer and still a runny mess. What happened?

Really enjoyable with great flavor—perfect any time of the day. It even tastes homemade. One of my absolute favorite meals. Cannot go wrong with this brand

I've been buying this meal for 40 years. It was always good. I will never buy it again. A flavorless meat patty with no gravy sitting in a runny potato soup. Save your money and buy something else...ANYTHING else, instead of this poor excuse for a meal.

Nasty by being suagy

As a kid I longed for this meal it was delicious glorious it tasted like heaven for the price of the meal it was perfection then long came the horrid apple sauce it was like the friend who betrayed u now I know how ceaser must have felt to be a kid and going to the store picking up my favorite meal and seeing this horrid new thing on the box I was willing to steal get it to cook my meal to mix in the gravy with the potatoes and add corn sure it may have been a couple bites but boy was that the best part when I came home that day from school I remember looking at it seeing the apple sauce had spilled into my potatoes common problem especially with the potatoes spilling in but who wants apple sauce in ther potatoes or corn it was horrible it was stupid but little old me who longed for his glorious creation was willing to try it maybe the corn and gravy would fix it little did I know it would be the worst thing to come into my mouth at first it was glorious like beautiful rainbows and flowers all over my tongue then it turned into a horrible battle when the apple sauce had touched my tongue what was once a beautiful land on my taste buds was ravenged and left to rot in the most disgusting tasting apple sauce little me was sadden especially to see out of all the meals my store served that was the only one that had the horrible taste long apple sauce I still long for that feeling the taste and yern for the day they take it out the Salisbury steak is 8 out of 10 the gravy 9.5 out of 10 corn 10 out of 10 potatoes 10 out of 10 but when mixed in together its like it was Gordon Ramsey who created it the apple sauce single handedly ruined my favorite meal it has since been years since I have had my meal I miss you old friend hopefully one day you will return
